The 29th version of Initech follows a similar format from the earlier 21st Polar Wars edition. A single-table will be used, but the focus for this tournament will be the Interstate maps for the third time in Initech history. All pertinent details are below. This Initech is flat/chained/foggy. And this one is a singles event with mixed disciplines (assassin/terminator/standard). I give you... Initech XIX: Interstate League!
OVERVIEW
1-round, 66-game, 6-map, 24-player tournament. All players will play 12 games. Games will vary between 3-player, 4-player, 6-player and 8-player games.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
Premium only, sorry. You'll need more than 4 games open at all times.
RULES & MAPS
All games will be Sequential, Chained, Flat Rate, Foggy
1/6 of games each player plays will be 3-player assassin on USA West and USA Southwest
1/6 of games each player plays will be 4-player assassin USA Rockies and USA New England
1/6 of games each player plays will be 4-player terminator USA West and USA Southwest
1/6 of games each player plays will be 6-player terminator USA Southeast and USA Great Lakes
1/6 of games each player plays will be 4-player standard USA Rockies and USA New England
1/6 of games each player plays will be 8-player standard USA Southeast and USA Great Lakes
POINT SYSTEM
Throughout the entire tournament, the following point system will be utilized:
Each Standard map win will be worth 15 points.
Each Terminator map win will be worth 5 points, with each elimination (including the final one) being worth 2 points.
Each Assassin map win will be worth 10 points.
FORMAT
There will be only one round. Each player will play 12 games. Each player will play the six maps two times each, as indicated above.
The maximum amount of points available to any one player is 152 points. There are 802 points available in the tournament overall.
The leader at the top of the table when the games conclude will be tournament champion.
TIEBREAKER
In the event of a tie for first place, the first tiebreaker will be the number of points taken from common games (meaning, the games where the tied players played each other).
The second tiebreaker will be the number of standard map wins.
The third tiebreaker will be a head-to-head match on the USA West map--tournament settings, but no spoils.
