Round Three Games
Tuesday, June 28th 4:45pm
I am going to start creating games for Round Three of the tournament G-Maps now.
Remember, winners do not need to pm their successes to me. If they would like they may post them on the tournament thread, but even that is not necessary since I will check the results of each game.
Beginning this round, players will be paired randomly rather than by ranking. Games this round will be 1vs1 again.
Here is the list of players who are advancing to Round Three:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Round Two: Game One ~ to be joined by Friday, June 17th
Round Two: Game Two ~ to be joined by Tuesday, June 21st
Tuesday, June 14th 1:49pm
I am going to start creating games for Round Two of the tournament G-Maps now.
Remember, winners do not need to pm their successes to me. If they would like they may post them on the tournament thread, but even that is not necessary since I will check the results of each game.
Again, players for this round will be matched based on ranking. However, since I don't have perfectly even numbers of players from each rank, not every game will work out this way. Also, I made a list of players according to rank this morning, so that is what I will be working from.
Here is the list of players who are advancing to Round Two:
Saturday, May 30th 8:52am ~ Congratulations to Didacus on the first win of the tournament!
Sunday, May 29th 4:26pm
Hi everyone!
I am going to start creating games for Round One of the tournament G-Maps now. You will receive two pms from me shortly with game info, one for each game this round. The message will include the game number you are to join, the password, and the amount of time you have to join.
To make things easier for freemium players, one game will have a longer deadline than the other. The first game must be joined by Wednesday, June 1st and the second by Monday, June 6th. Be sure to join your games in order if you only have one open slot. And if you are going to have trouble meeting either deadline, please pm me.
Remember, winners do not need to pm their successes to me. If they would like they may post them on the tournament thread, but even that is not necessary since I will check the results of each game.
As I mentioned below, players for this round will be matched based on ranking. However, since I don't have perfectly even numbers of players from each rank, not every game will work out this way. Also, I made a list of players according to rank Saturday evening, so that is what I will be working from.
And, the votes are in, and the most popular G-Map, on which the final round will be played is…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This tournament is focused on playing maps that begin with the letter ‘g.’ The tournament will test the players’ ability to play on different maps with various combinations of different game options. However, all games will be Standard game type.
I am looking for 64 players to join this tournament and 2-4 reserves. Freemiums are welcome. Keep in mind that you will need to play two games each round though, so you will need to either have two open game slots or play your games promptly one after another.
When you request to be entered into this tournament, please also note which of the five ‘g’ maps is your favorite. The final round of the tournament will be played on the most popular map as chosen by those who have entered in the tournament. The G-maps are: Germany, Gilgamesh, Great Lakes, Greater China, and Greenland.
Your name will be added to the player list below when you are accepted into the tournament.
In each round you will play two games, giving you two possible chances to advance. Games in the first two rounds will be 1v1. After that the number of players per game may go up depending on how many players have been eliminated. Players in the first two rounds will be matched according to their rank. After that player-matching will be random.
Note: Winners do not need to pm their successes to me. If they would like they may post them on the tournament thread, but even that is not necessary since I will check the results of each game.
The following chart outlines the unique game options for each round.
Please note: This is my first tournament, so if anything needs to be clarified, please let me know. I would also love to get feedback or any suggestions you might have for improvement. Thanks!
And the winner is....
