I am rescuing this tournament on behalf of lord voldemort, who is unable to complete this at the moment.

TPA points are shown in the second post in this thread, previous rounds are shown in post 3

This is a Tournament Players Association (TPA) event, and is governed by its rules, guidelines, and judgments. All are welcome to join and participate in the association. This is to be a series of 1v1 tournaments. To be played on certain maps in which I enjoy or find to be good gameplay.
This is the TPA version.....which has been slightly extended to accommodate more participants

To start all games will be played on Random maps, escalating, chained, no fog, auto.

Sign up/Rules/Notes

1. premium players only as game load is always more than 4.
2. All games to be sent via pm links. If you join the wrong game then you will receive a 1 game penalty.
3. You have 48 hours to join all games I will not always send a reminder after 24 hours. So its on you. If you are late you will lose that game. In round 1 you will have 1 week to join your games. This is to accomodate the higher game load.
4. Past winners will have a place held for them for 24 hours max. (As current tourny is in last 2 games of the final round the winner will have his/her spot reserved as soon as that person is known)
5. Any issues complaints are to come to me. My rule is law.
6. Currently there are 32 spots available for sign up. If there is enough interest I can extend the tournament to 64 participants.

abel has come in to replace shoop76, who I understand has now left CC at least for the timebeing.

abel was the first reserve in the original thread.

Lots of games are already finishing from the first batches I sent out - will aim to get more out tonight and will try to get a scoreboard update done tomorrow.

katd89 is defaulting on games, may be tricky to get a stand-in now that we're two-thirds of the way into the round, especially given that they would start at the foot of the table with a reduced chance of qualifying for round 2, so I think we'll just forfeit her remaining games.

All first round games are now out and the last few are filling up. Should have a scoreboard update within a few days.

scoreboard updated with 20 games still to finish, and I discovered that I still had one game to set up for abel and ubcman, so that is now out.

Once all games are finished tied players will be sorted in order of the games played between them as per the original thread by lv to determine who progresses and to determine TPA points for the 16 who are knocked out.

Final 4 active games now in play, so I expect to be able to get a final table out within the next couple of days.

My expectation is that I'll also need to look at the games played between a handful of people on 16 points to determine who has the best record for the tiebreaker.

It is vaguely possible that I won't be able to sensibly split it on results between the players in which case I would prefer to set up a tie-break game rather than leave it to random.org.

There is still one game ongoing, but the outcome doesn't affect round 2.

After round 1, there were six players tied on 16 points. The head to head record for those six players is as below:





Iron Maid, Bones2484 and tokle will therefore progress to the next round.

I am doing better then I thought

Round 2 scoreboard is shaping up and we'll probably know who is progressing to round 3 within a week.

3 matches still in play, and all could now be significant.

The players currently on 10 or 11 points will progress.

There are currently 5 players tied for the final 4 spots, though 3 of those players are still involved in active games which could give them automatic progression. It is likely that there will be a tiebreak, with the head-to-head records between 3 or 4 players on 9 points needing to be used.

Regardless of who wins it, the 8 players progressing will be as listed below. There was a tie between players on 9 points, but I lost to each of the players I was tied with, so I drop out in 9th place

I was very careful to check who had beaten whom, so I could put everyone who was tied on points into the correct order.

semi final matches have been set up and invites sent out. posts are updated, including the draft TPA points list.
