Posted: Sat Sep 25, 2010 9:09 pmI am looking for 48 single players for a multi-round round robin tournament. Depending on sign-ups, I may increase the number of players needed. Due to the number of games, this is for Premium members only.
The 48 people will randomly be broken into 8 divisions of 6. Each division will play 1v1 against each player they share the division with. In order to advance to the next round, a player must win at least half of the games from the current round.
Each round, the players who advance will be paired up with players from another division where they will play another round robin with those players. (i.e. First round divisions will be A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H. Second round will be AB, CD, EF, GH. Third round ABCD, EFGH. Fourth round will consist of one division with all players that have advanced that far.)
To keep things moving, these will be the settings:
Random map
Automatic
Sequential
Escalating
Chained
Sunny
If finals come down to two players, they will play a best of 3 series against each other.
Please note, since more people may advance from one division then another, some people may play more games than others but since they all need to win at least half of their games, no player has a true advantage.'
Players have 48 hours to join their game before it's a forfeit. Reserves will only be used in first two rounds, after that it will be treated as an automatic win for the players in that person's division.
