I wanted to try something different with this one and wanted to try it out. Its my first tournament and I didnt see many others like this so hopefully it works out well... if it doesnt ill just slather myself in grape jelly and run naked through a cornfield backwards.... yeah it better work... ouch....
and away we go...
This tourney will start with 30 people and each person has 5 detours. The detours come into play later. There are 7 Rounds, with the final round being a best of 9 or once your detours are spent. Each standard round will be a 1v1 with the winner moving on to the next round.
Should you not win, you will be placed into the "Detour" round.
These will be multi player everyone for themselves games where the winners move on and the losers are eliminated. IE Round 1 [30 players, 15 lose] Detour round 1 [15 Players who lost round 1, 5 3man games, 5 winners move on and lose a detour, 10 eliminated). Losing twice in a row means elimination in the early rounds basically. Should you win the "Basic" round, you will not have to play and be bored til the next round... sorry but hey well done.
The game will continue like this until the 4th Round. At that point the Detour rounds will only bring you into the next Detour round until the final rounds. The last two rounds will be battles for detours.
An example is in the final round if Player 1 Never lost a game, they would have 5 detours, Player two lost 3 games and used 3 detours so only have two detours left. Player one only has to win 2 games whereas player 2 must win 5. As a added bonus the Player winning into round 6 and 7 will get to choose as many maps as they have detours followed by my set maps.
For replacements should anyone drop, they will receive same place and detours as player they replaced. Replacements will not be used past round 2 and forfeits will come into play.
Freemiums are welcome as there should only be one game active for most of the tourney. I just ask that you keep one slot open. Should there not be a opening for a period of time, until I get annoyed, I will replace you or forfeit you after a few alerts.
Each player will at least play 2 games so please be aware losing the first game is not the end of it. You can lose up to 4 times and still win. This is more of a counter to the "Bad Game/Dice principle".
WHEN SIGNING UP!... If you wish, include a set of maps that would be your maps should you get to the finals or semi finals, if you read below you will see I give you a advantage for winning and you can use ANY map (Other than Beta's cause I dont wanna go down that road) / Settings... If you want give me up to 3 or just one you like. If you do not, I will PM you after round 5 if I dont have them and if you dont respond then the standard maps I listed will be used in random fashion.
*NOTE* I tried to make the detour rounds setup to go quicker.. Hopefully I succeeded like always if you see anything in here I should change PM me.
I will be keeping a Detailed Spreadsheet of all the games and whom you beat and will link it once everyone signs up so you can watch your progress.
