Say WHAT?! (We Have a Winner)

I’m starting a tournament
Say WHAT?
I need 32 awesome CC members to participate.
Say WHAT?
These 32 players will be put randomly into 8 groups of 4 using random.org.
Say WHAT?
All right, now time for the serious stuff. This tournament will consist of 5 rounds. The first round will be the group round. In this round, each player in each group will play everyone else in that group in 3 types of games: a two player game, a three player game, and a four player game.
Let’s say there are 4 player in group 1, players A, B, C and D.
These are the games that would be played:
A vs B
A vs C
A vs D
B vs C
B vs D
C vs D
A vs B vs C
A vs C vs D
A vs B vs D
B vs C vs D
A vs B vs C vs D
To make it to the second round, you need to be one of the top 2 teams in your group. But don’t worry; you don’t need to win to advance to the second round. Instead, you need points. So how do you get points? Here’s how:
2 Player Games:
-2 points for winning
-0 points for losing
3 Player Games:
-3 points for winning
-1.5 points for coming in second
-0 points for losing
4 Player Games:
-4 points for winning
-2 points for coming in second
-1 points for coming in third
-0 points for losing
If two players in the same group tie for second and third, they will play a game to see whom advances. If two players tie for first and second, they will not.
Once you have made it to the second round, you will be seeded. Seeding will be based on how many points you attained in the first round. If two players tied in points in the first, round, their CC points will be used to break the tie. If two players have the same number of CC points, I will use random.org.
The following chart depicts how games will go for rounds 2-5:
Once again, don’t fret if you lose a game. In rounds 2, 3 and 4, three games will be played. The player that wins at least two of these games will advance. In the final round, 5 games will be played to determine the winner.
All games will be standard, sequential, automatic troops, no fog, flat rate spoils and chained reinforcements.
The maps are as follows:
Round 1- Classic
Round 2- British Isles
Round 3- Europe
Round 4- Dust Bowl
Round 5- World 2.1
Reserves will not be used in this tournament. If a player does not show up for a game in round 1, they will be given 0 points for that game, and a new game will be created with the number of players that did show up. If a player does not show up in rounds 2-5, the other player will be given the win automatically.
Oh yeah, one last thing:
You don’t need to be a premium member to participate. (Only three games will run at a time)
