2010 Sprint Cup Championship
2008 Season run by Optimus Prime
Tournament Medal AND Contest Medal up for grabs
Welcome to the 2010 Sprint Cup Series Championship! 40 players will be racing their way around the tracks of the Sprint Cup Series to determine who will be the 2010 Sprint Cup Champion! This tournament will follow the real life schedule for the Sprint Cup Series, and each player will choose to represent a single driver for the duration of the season. PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS TOURNAMENT.
Gameplay Details:
To begin the season, the 40 players will be divided into 5 separate race groups by their current CC score (collected when tournament is filled). These groups will then be given the first 5 races of the season to play simultaneously. All games will feature 8 players. When all 5 games for each group are complete, the groups will be reseeded according to the player's position in the Sprint Cup Standings. This will happen after every 5 games until the regular season is complete (last regular season set will have 6 games). Once the regular season is complete, we will move on to the Chase for the Sprint Cup as detailed below.
Players will earn points towards the standings as outlined in the scoring section below. These points will be used to determine the top 8 players who will advance to the final 10 races of the season.
NOTE: Nearly all of the tracks are set up with Escalating cards, but there are a couple that have Flat Rate. Also, almost every track is set up with sunny skies, but there are 2 or 3 with some cloudy weather as well. This is to provide just a little bit of mixture to the tournament while still allowing the games to finish in a timely manner.
All games have a 25 round cap. After 25 rounds I will determine finishing order using total armies via BOB. I would strongly suggest that you don't let your game go to 25 rounds.
Chase for the Sprint Cup Details
The top 8 players in the standings will advance to the "Chase for the Sprint Cup" after the first 26 races have been played. Each player in the top 8 will have their score reset to 5000 points and receive an additional 10 bonus points for each win they have had thus far. Only these 8 players will be able to have a chance at the tournament title. All other players will be relegated to playing for 9th place, with their scores staying as they were. All players will continue the tournament, using the same scoring system. The Chase for the Sprint Cup group will not change after 5 races, but the other divisions will be reseeded.
The winner of the Chase for the Sprint Cup will win the Tournament Winners Medal. The 8 players who had the most wins throughout the season will play an All-Star Race (Charlotte Motor Speedway settings, ties broken by points standing), with the winner receiving a Contest Medal.

1st Place: 185 pts
