Just Donāt Come In LastHere comes a tournament where the title says it all. The object is to not be the first player eliminated. As long as you are not dead last in that round, you advance.
Basics: Open to all members as long as you have 2 free slots available. If you only have 1, let me know, and I can still get you in.
Number of Entrants: 64 (plus reserves)
Map: Random (each round will use a different random map)
Game Type: Terminator
Play Order: Random
Bonus Cards: Escalating
Fortifications: Random
Fog of War: Random
Number of Games: Depending on how long you last. Minimum is 2.
Map Choices: All maps will be available in the Random selection
Rules: We will start with 64 players. The Game Type will be Terminator to encourage attacking and eliminating players. Each player will be randomly placed into one of 8 Groups for the First round (making eight, 8 player games). The first person eliminated in each game will then play in a loser game. The first person eliminated in the loser game will be eliminated from the tournament and we start over again with 63 players. This will continue until there is only 1 player left. Early on you have two chances not to come in last. So the tournament is simpleā¦ just donāt come in last and you advance.
Note: If a player deadbeats in a game then that player will be automatically eliminated from the tournament. The tournament will continue as if that deadbeated player never existed in the tournament. What that means is although the deadbeat player is automatically eliminated, the next player eliminated (or first non-deadbeated player eliminated) in that game will still be considered the loser of that game. If there are two or more deadbeat players in one game then there will be no "last place" finisher in that game and all non deadbeat players will continue on the tournament, as long as no one was eliminated prior to the players deadbeating. For each deadbeat player the tournament will skip one Round (whatever the next Round is when the player deadbeated) of the scheduled 64. This rule is not in effect for the Loser Game. If a deadbeat occurs during a Loser Game then that player (if deadbeated prior to any other player eliminated) will be considered the loser and last place finisher for that round. For time reasons if a deadbeat player occurs prior to the start of the Loser Game then that player will be considered the Last Place finisher of that Round and all other players will advance without playing the Loser Game.
The player groupings for each round goes as follows:
P/G = Players per game.
* = Because of the odd number of players not all games will have that exact amount. For instance, with 63 players the 8* means that their will be 7 games with 8 players and 1 game with 7 players totaling 63 players.
