The arbitrary draw ensures that people don't try to advance by sitting on troops and playing for second place. Best case scenario, 8 people win games in the first round and it's just first to two wins in the finals. If someone wins both of their opening round games, another person is randomly picked to fill their other spot in the finals.

Hope that clarifies a bit. Patrick likes to be as confusing as possible. He feels it's an advantage against his opponents. I'm just here to translate. My girlfriend is from Wisconsin, so I'm fluent in the "Sconny" dialect of English.
