With the exception of one game which has gone into tie status, all the games from rounds 3 and 4 have finished. I'm pretty tired so I'll update the standings and get out the next rounds tomorrow, but if you guys get a chance you should totally check out Game 8497256. While it would take about 50 more rounds for it to enter "epic" status, 26 rounds is still pretty sweet.

Rounds 5 and 6 are out and the standings have been updated. Of note are ubcman64 who remains atop the leader board and SeriouslyANewb who is so far playing exactly average.

The standings have been updated and the next two rounds shall go out momentarily. The scores tightened up significantly this round as now just 5 points separates 1st place from 10th.

I would also like to give a couple of shout-outs to stokiepaul who is undefeated at home, and ckyrias who is undefeated on the random maps. Most impressive.

As I alluded to last week, there was quite a bit of shake-up in the leaderboard after these last two rounds. ubcman64 has extended his now-formidable lead to 5 points, but 2nd through 7th place remains tight. Moral victories are, in my opinion, still victories, but this does not mean I won't be rooting for anyone playing ubcman64 in the coming rounds!

stokiepaul is still undefeated on his home map, but the special shout-outs this week go to hagardunor and giannikas. With their wins at home and on the road respectively they have made it so everyone has at least one win in every scenario. Very cool.

The standings are up-to-date but the next batch of games will not be sent out until Sunday or Monday at the latest as a couple of us, including yours truly, are traveling this week.

Of note for all you statistics fanatics like me: this marks the first time where we've had as many people below the statistical points average - 24 points - as above.

Hi. Just got back from being out of town for a week.

I don't know what's going on with stokiepaul, but it's pretty clear he's gone for now at least. I will try to find someone to fill in for him the rest of the way, but obviously neither stokiepaul nor the substitute will eligible to win the tournament. Thanks for your patience everyone.

Invites for rounds 13 and 14 will be going out momentarily, but I definitely wanted to post an update for these rounds as things have gotten interesting indeed.

Turning in an impressive 10-point performance, mr. CD pulls to within a point of our consummate front runner ubcman64, who, with a slight stumble these last two rounds, has allowed the rest of the field to creep up as well. It is also notable that all the players within striking distance of the top spot own the tiebreaker over ubcman64 thanks to their lack of ties.

Also, a very special shout-out goes out to mcshanester29. Despite spending the first 10 rounds at the very bottom of the standings, he has stuck it out and has managed to pull out of last place as he hopes to avoid me calling him mcshamester for the rest of his life.

Hello hello and welcome to the first day of the end of the tournament. The last invites have been sent out and the scoreboard has been updated. ubcman64 holds a slim lead over mr. CD, but mr. CD holds the tiebreaker, so if mr. CD wins one more game than ubcman64 the championship will be his. Unfortunately for me, mr. CD also holds the tiebreaker over me, so if I am to win it all I need to win all three of my games and ubcman and CD need to lose all six of theirs. Here's hoping!

Also, Willy! quit CC so I will be contacting mcshanester29 and we'll discuss options.

And it is finally finished! mr. CD slew hagardunor in a 14 round heavyweight Germany battle to bring an end to this tournament's festivities. As previously noted, ubcman64 is your champion, and a well-deserved victory it was as he held the top points spot almost the entire tournament. I would like to thank you all for playing and invite you to sign up for Dr. Strangelove II which will come around sometime in mid-June.
