The tournament will start when 36 players (plus reserves) have signed up. Freemiums are welcome but must leave 3 spots open.
Tournament format:
The tournament will consist of 10 different Olympics athletics events.
These will be: 100 metres, Long Jump, Shotput, High Jump, 400 metres, 110 metre hurdles, Discus, Pole Vault, Javelin and 1500 metres.
For each event players will compete in a six player game, or heat, on the Classic map. The winners of each heat will advance and play a game each to decide who wins the gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal. The winners of each medal match will win the corresponding medal. If a player wins both the gold and silver medal games, they will be awarded the gold and another game will be set up for the silver medal etc etc. In the event that two tiebreaker games do not decide the medal then the runner up in tiebreaker game 2 will be awarded the medal.
Whoever wins the most gold medals from all 10 events wins the tournament! In the event of a tie, silver medals won, bronze medals won, then total points won will be used to break the tie.
