Welcome to: Woopin's 17th - 5 Card Draw - Sort of.
This Tourney is based somewhat on the Game of 5 Card Draw Poker. But with a twist. It will consist of 25 Players in a Multi Game 2 Round Tournament format that will be played on the New World Map.
Settings:
Standard, Auto, Seq, No Spoils, Chained, Foggy, Round Limit 20 Games, Casual
The 25 Players will be Randomly divided into 5 Groups of 5.
Round 1:
Each Group will play a total of 5 Games at the same time. Here is where the Poker part comes in. Each Player will be assigned an initial set of 5 Cards. The Cards will be assigned using http://www.Random.org. Players will be given additional cards based on the following schedule for each Game Played in Round 1:
Winner - Awarded 5 Cards - Turn 2 Cards In
2nd Place - Awarded 4 Cards - Turn 2 Cards In
3rd Place - Awarded 2 Cards - Turn 1 Card In
4th Place - Awarded 1 Card - Turns 1 Card In
5th Place - No Cards Awarded or Turned In.
When cards are issued, below is the format and legend for how they will look:
A = Ace
K = King
Q = Queen
J = Jack
D = Diamonds
C = Clubs
S = Spades
H = Hearts
KH = King of Hearts
AC = Ace of Clubs
The card value (2, 5, J, K) will be listed first and the Suit (Clubs, Spades) will be listed second.
All selected using http://www.Random.org.
I will contact each Player via PM to let them know what their Initial Cards are and what cards are Earned as each game ends. Each Player will need to let me know what Cards they want to return, via PM. Obviously, the better you do in your Games, the more Cards you will be holding and have the advantage in selecting a better Hand. I will keep track of each Players Cards in a spreadsheet so that no one knows what Cards another Player has. When I send out PMs with the new Cards, I will also provide a list of what Cards each Player currently hold so it will be easier for Players to keep up with everything. Once all 5 Games are completed all Players will be required to "return" all but 5 Cards. The Player who ends up with the Best Hand will win their Round 1 Group and advance to the Final. So Winning Games is important, but you also have to be able to Play Poker. If for some reason more than 1 Player ends up with the same Winning Hand, those Players will Play 1 single New World Game to determine who wins.
Round 2:
The 5 Players remaining after Round 1, will play in 5 Games, using the same Format as Round 1. The Player with the Best Hand after the 5 Games will be the Tournament Winner.
Card Selection:
http://www.Random.org selects cards based on how many decks you select. I will use one deck each time I select your cards. However, because of the way the the program works, every time you select a batch of cards, it Randomly selects them from a full 52 card deck. In other words, it is possible to end up with 5 Ace of Spades in your hand. When I issue you cards at the beginning of the Tourney and after each Game has been completed, all of the Cards in that Batch will all be different. But over the course of 5 Games, it is possible to get the same card multiple times. Because of this, below is a list of Hands that are possible and they are ranked from Highest to Lowest:
Since I will know everyone's Hands, I will not be playing in this Tourney.
Since each Player will be playing 5 Games at a time, this Tournament is only open to Premium Players. There is no minimum Rank Requirement, but you must have completed 50 games. You must have at least a 97% Attendance Record. If you are under 97% or have less than 50 games, I reserve the right to allow you to play if I know you or you convince me there will not be an issue. No one under 95% will be accepted.
This Tournament is going to be different than many others because it involves two games within the Game. First there are the Maps and then there is the Poker Hand. If you have any questions, please let me know.
The Winner of each Game will be listed next to the Game and Highlighted in RED. I will also list the "Place" that each Player achieves in each Game.
