Elric's Stealer of Souls - Standard Invitational Tournament
Come one, come all, to Elric's Stealer of Souls, Standard and Invitational Tournament! (SoC Training Style)
And by Invitational, we mean all are welcome to join.
I have decided that there are not enough Lost Souls wandering the halls of the SoC Training Academy so have decided to lure in some more fresh blood from all over the CC Community Playgrounds.
As an instructor of the SoC Academy, I have been hosting my Stealer of Lost Souls (Terminator and Standard) games in the SoC Academy classrooms for a long time and am running out of sources of new souls, to feed my sword, there so I am challenging 149 other daring souls to come forth and risk their rank and title in a single elimination tournament.
How will you stand against the other challengers and especially against my Stormbringer Sword on the battlefield. For those of you unfamiliar with the legend of Elric and his famous sword check out the wiki link here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stormbringer
A total of 150 souls will enter the battlefields, but only 1 will remain standing at the end of each tournament. Will that be you?
Game/Tourney details:
The tournament games will be setup and follow the SoC regular game settings. You will be signing up once for entry into BOTH game style / tournaments.
Standard Settings
Map - Canada
Players - 5* --- * or less if all invites are not accepted
Game Type - Standard
Play Order - Sequential
Troop Deployment - Automatic
Spoils - Escalating
Reinforcements - Unlimited
Fog of War - No
Round Limit - None
EDIT: Round 1 and 2 will be 5 player games with the FINAL Match being a 6 player game in each tournament
The format of the tournaments will be as follows:
6 pools of 25 players (for a total of 150 players) will be created by ranking points at time of signing up (please post your current # of pts.)
The original games within each pool will be configured using Random.Org.
There will be three rounds total. The winner of each game will advance to the next round, and the casualties go home.
The finalists, (2nd - 6th), who make it to the Final Game will be awarded SoC Academy Medals, with the winner of each tournament hopefully winning an official CC Tourney Medal as well as 3 months of CC Premium Membership.
We will be starting Round 1 with a Maximum of 150 players ... after round 1 the reserves will no longer be allowed to join the games as the winner MUST win a minimum of 3 games for the tournament to be official.[/b]
All players will have 48 hours to join their tournament games.
If a player has to be removed from a game due to not accepting their 2nd invite, their soul will be retired from the tourney and the game will be reset including the players who accepted their invitations only ... there will be no substitutions (after round 1).
Premiums and freemiums are both welcome. If you're a freemium, please reserve two slots for your tournament games.
SoC Training Academy Students are requested to NOT post ANY tournament related games in their SoC classrooms.
