Ahh, yes, that detail is explained in the BASIC RULES section, but I've edited the section you quoted and added it there also. I have also made a slight change to the format. We will now use a standard double elimination bracket system instead of the wildcard system. (I ran some models and a wildcard team ended up winning the tourney having 2 losses and beating a team with only one loss, so I scrapped that idea)
Here is the updated format (copied from the first post).
Each team plays one game per round. Double elimination, double bracket illustrated below. Lose 2 games and you're out. For each game in each round I will flip a coin (using Random.org) to select which team's map will be used for that game.
Double elimination...
All winners remain in the winners' bracket and advance to the next round. All losers drop to the losers bracket. All teams that lose one game in the losers bracket are eliminated. The winners will have no more than one loss.
