ruleroftheworld1 and vegnagun could be my partners if they wanted to...

I haven't talked to them though. But I'd be willing.

So if you're going to lose... make sure it's round 6 not round 5.

how do we have a tie? not sure how that works...

shouldnt it be the longer the losing team lasts the more points they get? lose in round 5 u get 0 points, lose in round 6 u get 100, 7th-75, 8th-50 and 9th-25.. how does that make sense?

and the next point a quick solid (or lucky) win is only worth 300 points total but then a 6th round win gives out 350 points in total, 7-275, 8th-200 and 9th-125..

so in theory if u are losing the game by 3rd round ur better off to make sure u lose on the 6th or 7th round to better position urself in this tourny..

Is there a reason that in our round 3 game, my team got 200 and the losing side got 100, instead of 250 and 100? We finished in round 6.

hey, why can't we replace bigmeanie? where in the rules does it state we cannot replace a player? I've never come across that problem my entire 3 plus years on this site. What's up with that?

Scoring system :
Win by 5th round 300 points Loser 0
Win by 6th round 250 points loser 100
Win by 7th round 200 points loser 75
Win by 8th round 150 points loser 50
Win by 9th round or more 100 points loser 25

Are the scores awarded for losers correct?

How are you rewarded by losing in 6 rounds and then punished for holding out longer?

I don't get it.

I think what shaz was doing when he set up the system was considering the net effect of the points on the standings...
Take the winner's points minus the losers points, and what you get is how much ground the winner actually gained... and the amount they gained decreases the longer the game lasts. I've added the pattern the to quote above in red. So really, you could completely restate the scoring system as: Loser's get 0, winners get the numbers shown in red. I agree, the way it is presented and applied makes it confusing.

If that is correct, that makes complete sense. Thanks for the reply!

thanks Swifte for your reply.
The idea if you read the post is to award the attackers and taking risks. hence the point system. I am sorry if you find it confusing, but it was posted before.

I think Napoleon was just laughing because it's usually called a "point system" not a 'pointing system'.
