Or is there something that I have missed.

but only happened when first updated i see today i have more but no notification.
If you win a game and receive a star, it also pops up in the game log?

I'm personally not happy with the overemphasis on auto-tournaments. Community-run tournaments were already declining; this seems like another nail in their coffin...
But the fact that so many obvious improvements are being made makes me willing to look past the ones I don't like. Overall, the site is moving forward all the time now.
It's probably true, but on the other hand, this option does put tournaments a lot more in the spotlights. Community run tournaments may be less popular, but I think lots of them were too simple anyway. Those simple tournaments are now replaced by the auto tournaments, which, in my opinion isn't a bad thing. They will run a lot smoother now! It's also a lot easier to keep track of the tournaments you are in now and I bet there will be a lot of improvements and extra features comming up. I think the first steps to something bigger have been made.
Then again more advanced and interactive community-run tournaments like your History of nuclear war series will be the ones who still deserve to get full. Community tournaments should now be creative to get filled and maybe that's not a bad thing. It may be harder to fill those too, but for that I hope upcomming changes towards tournaments will take this in mind.

Tournaments have been going downhill in terms of the numbers of tournaments and the amount of gaming activity within them for some time. The advent of Auto Tournaments has significantly increased the amount of total Tournament activity, while not significantly reducing the amount of community Tournament activity.
Below are some numbers of games started for you:
Month Auto Regular Total
2013-08 0 9,892 9,892
2013-09 0 8,752 8,752
2013-10 0 7,670 7,670
2013-11 1,657 9,983 10,150
2013-12 3,820 7,723 11,543
2014-01 4,081 9,758 13,839 [Projected based on data to 01/12]
To add to this, coming up we have the most prestigious, if not the largest, series of Community run Tournaments ever - The Championships. The first games for this should be starting soon in the 1v1 tourney... then the remainder will open throughout the year.
The message is: community run tournaments are not going anywhere. There is much you can do with automation, but then there is much you cannot do without extraordinary effort. Tourney organizers should be challenged to come up with new, interesting, creative twists... something which there will always be a call for!

One quick question regarding Automatic Game Snapshots. What do you guys mean by Panel Interface? I have BOB and Map Rank installed. I'm guessing I need to install something else to get the auto snapshot feature up and running?
automatic game snapshots is part of the new panel interface that came last update.
you turn it on in "game settings" in Personal menu on left
agentcom wrote:Not really Mets' suggestion. Mets did a good job of summarizing the information and sparking some public discussion, but BGthBrain made the actual suggestion (but only for clan medals) over a year ago, and there may have been others before that. It was chapcrap's idea to expand that to all the trophy-type medals. It was my idea to do the levels. It was RDS and the department heads at the time that came up with the actual levels.

no such thing as a stalemate. Just players refusing to attack anyone.

So you're saying that I shouldn't award myself a GC medal for its implementation?
agentcom wrote:Now, we just need to automate snapshots prior to the first turn being taken. Is that any harder than what you've done here?bigWham wrote:

This.
What is really important is the auto-snap in the second the game is created.
A snap every turn is not nice because its part of a player discipline. That kind of discipline is 75% of the time the difference between a good and a bad player.
I believe you guys are not here to wipe any babys ass, you are here to provide the towels so that can happen

Currently you may use items for:
Joining Tournaments - certain tournaments will list Items as an Entry Cost
Staring At - If you stare for long enough at an Item, something changes inside you

Me thinks it's more like he just don't like playing with others. Team games played 1![]()
Or don't like sharing his toys one or the other maybe both
