it is not clear what you mean here. all of these these are available with this update. it is possible you are running bob simultenously with the new interface which will not work, or there is some other confusion.

these are new features to the site and have never been officially provided before. that you have received them is only thanks to volunteers that built the bob add-on. if you wish you can choose not to use the new interface and continue to use bob as before, however the site is not responsible for its functioning.


First off...BIG thanks and my apologies to the volunteers to help improve the playing features here at CC. No offense was meant or intended.

I did turn BOB off and logged out of CC so that BOB and the new updates would not clash with one another.

I just got done running through BOB to give a more accurate description of what I was talking about before...

1. The Side Menu options that Innyface, Bruceswar, and I mention do not work. I see that Innya has placed these in the Bug Report forum.
2. Chat on Top feature - This does not appear to be available with the new CC update, but it is available with BOB.
3. Map Inspect - This is what I was trying to describe in my last post.

I have since reloaded the website and browser and moved my Side Panel to the bottom. That way, the icons were not all smashed together. From there, I was able to get Map Inspect to work.

is this option slowing the site down
Advanced Processing on Game Page: [Panel Interface Only] Advanced processing on game pages provides a number of additional pieces of data, especially on the Stats Panel, however it does slow the loading of the Game Page down. If you play a lot of speed games we recommend setting this to No. (currently set to Yes)?
live chat now takes forever to open.
side bar takes forever to show up if at all.
for using clickies i have to refresh the site on every move.

This really sucks playing on a I pad most of the time, the auto and assault button are right next to eachother. Most people are right handed and all that is on the very left of the screen. I can only imagine taking a turn from a phone and miss clicking. All these changes in a short amount of time I personally don't like them. Changed my whole game up. I think CC is trying to do to much to fast.

CC was never designed for an ipad. this update was intended to improve, but not perfect, the tablet/mobile experience. everyone that tested it reported that it has improved the experience.

try the following, if you have not: hide the left nav in game, move the console to the bottom of the map, and float the action panel. if this is not improving the experience over what it had been there is an issue somewhere with what you are experiencing.

We will need that to diagnose your situation. also, your browser type and version.

In Firefox access Web Developer > Web Console, and share any errors that are reported in there.

I presume that this is only with the new interface.

Its kind of a mess trying to figure out this new stuff. Trying to rush through my turns and now I can't attack using clickies. I have to use the drop down box every time. Its a pain.

ok, i tried to use it but it was a pain in the ass, i had to give like 100 click before i could analyze my opponents previous move, chat a bit and take my turn. then the clickies were not working for some reason, used the attack button instead, which moved and had to locate it afterwards to click again.

sorry to cause you pain. understand that a very low % of all players use clickies, and additionally the fact that they break with every change is one of the motivations behind this update (i.e. bob would break with every update).

it is possible that you have failed to understand the update. you can detach and move the panels wherever you want, so all that clicking should not be necessary.

I can see this is definitely an improvement to the UI, but it will take a while to get used to it.

So far I've had no luck moving the panels around. The little buttons light up and say "move down" or "move right" but nothing happens. Also, it is possible to resize them, is it not?

firstly i presume you are referring the add-on clickies, not the site clickies. i did not say they are a thing of the past. in the short term they will likely be fixed, though this is somewhat out of my control, since they are maintained by third parties. at some point in the future the features will likely be integrated in the way the bob features have been.

only the action panel can be resized when it is put in floating mode. with the panels first you have to detach them, then you can move them around to 3 different locations. if they do not move for you then this is a bug related to your setup... Please go to Web Developer > Web Console (or equivalent) and report any errors found in there.

Ok thanks because I just had to run a 6 player escalating game and it took me like 10 times as long. Luckily I did not screw up.

I do appreciate all that you guys are doing. Most updates are great.

Funny, all the people I play with use clickies. Of course we like winning also, so BOB and clickies go hand in hand. Maybe get the original clickies guy to program the new clickies interface?

I know all the speed fs players use the old clickies... the site clickies never worked well for many reasons
