Its a shame RK was permabanned...he never finished his map.

So i decided to make it, kept it the same tho.

Here's an earlyish draft:


It was pretty popular when it was abandoned

I like so far. I assume there will be sea crossings to help mobility?
Seems slightly awkward that the 2 biggest bonuses will be together in the corners though.

Graet map, Kap! Matbe you could make the sea itself a terit.

well i can give you sugestion to researc all relevant stuff abouth Caspian country,because You have Russia,Iran,Kasahstan,Turkmenistan and Azerbejan who have conection with Caspian See,so i realy dont see any conection why Turkey and iraq is on these map.
Also what these mean Caucasian lands?

wow if the sea was one territory, that'd be a fight, maybe have the see start with a relativle large neutral force, looks good, i'm liking it

Caspian Sea in real life is divide in three terittories.

I was going to do ocean routes but that is a good idea too...

I like it. But you should make the sea a terrioty.

The others were just pretty close by.

Well in your map Turkey have very large part of Caspian shore. And Armenia and Georgia is closer then Turkey.

I think there needs to be a little find tuning... the territory names are kinda... "no offence" TOO the same. The title needs a little fixing... THE NAMES OF THE CONTINENTS? Russia? WHT THE?

i like the army circles better then the map, lol

not bad so far.
i would change the shape of the mountains, and give them their own color, instead of blending the colors of turkey and caucus.

also, can something more interesting be done with the two seas?
two big territories that don't count for anything and are hard to hold doesn't seem to add much to this map.

it would be tempting to break up the caspian sea into several territories, and give the seas a bonus...
but that would be a bit too similar to the arctic map probably.

something definitely needs to be done with the seas.

Why people dont want to researc all relevant thing before start geographical map.
These map is so incorect that these is not normal,and you ignore all thing what i say.
And where to start;
Armenia, Georgia and Azerbeijan its a part of Turkey!!!!!!!
Caucus??? Where you find these name?
Syria,Arabia part of Iraq!!!!!!

Go to Wikipedia and you will all what you need for these map to be with proper country and proper names,do not create something what not good.
These is only a good sugestion.

Qwert, i know that arent 100% correct, but this isnt a geography class, its a RISK(kinda) website.

did you contact RK about taking over his map?


the seas as territories add a ton of attack routes. not sure if this is good or bad.


try not to have your labels overlap with your circles. move the tehran label off the border.

clean up the borders between continents. those stand out as looking bad.

I don't really I like the army circles very much. First, the "reflection" on them is on the same side as the shadow, which doesn't look right. Also, I don't think central Asia is know for being "bubbly" A sort of similar problem is with the bright colors; maybe darken them a bit.
EDIT: Also, can you replace the massive picture with a link? it's messing with the forum width.

the army dots were supposed to be water droplets. I probably dont need any at all, i just wanted to make sure that no one was confused about hte sea teritories, so i added an army dot. I figured that since the map is based on a sea, that water droplets would be appropriate. ACtually, you were the only one who didnt like them, so unless there are a couple more comments on that than ill probably just adjust them or something.

I don't like how turkey takes up chunks of where Iran is on a map.

yes you have to contact RK.

it's his art. you just copied it. even when just taking someone's idea it's common courtesy to ask first.

These reason is not going to pass here. These map must present Caspian sea,and country who poses Caspian Shore,and Puting Armenia,Azerbaijan and Georgia in Turkey is insult for these people,and for that you will get complains,so its better to put original Country and borders like you present in your source map http://www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/cabs/images/casplarge.jpg
