What possible??

This seems like the best place to post so ...

Exactly what designs can I come up with specifically regarding the dynamics of the game??
Can you have specially designed reinforcements rather than the standard 3 for such and such a continent. Just been looking around and it appears some ideas involve more complex reinforcement systems unless I am misreading?

If its possible exactly how far could I go?

with reinforcements you can get pretty creative.

examples of possiblities:

  • Overlapping continents (like 8 thoughts)
  • Continents in continents (like world 2.1)
  • Bonusses that give X amount of troops per X amount of territory held in a specific region (like england)
  • adjust or remove the 'standard' armies you get (the 3 armies default and the 1 for every 3 territories) Poker Club and Conquerman have this feature, for example
  • auto-deploys
  • negative bonusses/autodeploys

by combining those systems in various ways you can get really creative maps and bonus systems.

If you have a map in mind, but aren't sure of how to get the XML or if the XML is even possible, i'm always willing to help write it, and i'm sure there's more people that can and want to help.

Thats brilliant! I have been wanting this for some time!
Is there a list of things I can do somewhere? I HAVE looked in the Handbook but cannot find the information there :?

Have been wanting overlapping continents for ages!!

Now for the BIG question!

Would it be possible to have TWO SEPERATE games played at once that actually influenced each others bonuses in some way.
I have a big idea for a large scale Campaign which will be very demanding once I figure it out myself! :P

No, you cannot have that.

One idea that was tried and put on vacation for a while was four corners. This was one map that had four independent maps on it. For your idea, you could reduce that to two maps and have one influence the other.

Its possible then??

1800x1600 size limit to Maps or can I go bigger?
I have also asked repeatedly what the File Size limit is on here. At LG its 300kb which is very frustrating for larger maps.

File size is not important as it will get reduced when uploaded to the site. Post the image the best way you can and if you get past the foundry process, it will be reduced. Your size of map though is way to large. Go back to the hand book and look in the general rules section for the sizes.

The size limit for normal maps is 840x800 for the large image. If you go supersize you can go up to 1400x1200 but you'll only be allowed that if your map really needs the extra size to be feasible. (Don't ask how that is determined, it's pretty arbitrary at times.)

Do not forget though, you have to fit the large into a small map as well. 630/600

630x600 for regular size maps, 1000x800 for supersize...

As a rule of thumb, the small map should be between 70-80% of the large map.
