Bar Fight!

Bar Fight!

Basic idea - there is a bar - and a brawl breaks out, maybe spills out into the street - the staff (bartender, servers, bouncers, cooks, dj, boss, etc) are neutral but maybe to earn bonus in any part of the map one must gain control a staff area. Map broken into Bar, Pool Room, Tables, Dance Floor, Back Bar, Kitchen. Something like that.

I have no known skills in map making so someone would have to pick up and run with the idea. Thanks for entertaining.

Crude mock up of the map:

How about just a bar, bartenders and customers, and to get a bonus you have to capture all the right ingredients to make one of several well-known cocktails, according to the orders of the customers? For instance, customer #3 is saying, "I'll have a zombie," so you have to capture him plus: light rum, dark rum, apricot brandy, pineapple juice, papaya juice, and grenadine - big bonus! Another customer is ordering a Singapore Sling, so you'd need gin, Cherry Heering, Bénédictine, and pineapple juice.
:D

Nice! I like adding the mixers - well drinks could be happy hour bonuses - the fancy stuff fou-fou drinks, more difficult higher ones ;)

I quite like this idea as a supplement. There is quite a good variety of mixed drinks with varying degrees of difficulty. Just for example:

- Vodka + mixer (oj, lemonade, coke, etc.) = +1
- Shandy = lager + lemonade = +1
- Gin + tonic = +1
- Martini = gin + vermouth = +1
- TNT = tequila + tonic + lime = +2
- Pina colada = rum + coconut + pineapple + orange = +3
- Sex on the beach = vodka + peach schnapps + cranberry juice + grapefruit juice = +3

The list of possibilities goes on, which could make gameplay quite interesting.

Why a bar?

Why not an opium den?

...because my idea for a map is based on a bar fight.

Why not a meth lab? Secure the anhydrous and don't blow up for +5!

The drink ingredients idea is interesting but would there be more than one of certain liquor? Like more than one vodka? Or will their be multiple vodkas that have varying neutral troop numbers based on quality. Like well vodka would be a small troop number while top shelf vodka would be a higher one. The varying quality levels could change the bonus you get for that drink.

That's one way to do it. Another (and these could be mixed - no pun intended) is to have one vodka but several vodka drinks, and si9nce only one person can own vodka...

But it would be better to mix the two. Have three vodkas but five vodka drinks. Have three containers of orange juice and four or five drinks that need OJ.

Customers = drink orders and they connect to the ingredients only through the bartenders. Four bartenders. Huge bonus for owning all four.

I'm picturing a scene as if shot with a camera at a downward angle of 45 degrees or so. An actual photo could be used, I suppose, but a drawing would be better. I'm not a draftsman.

Tobinov: one idea spurs others - we're allowed to go off the track and explore non-fight scenarios.

Which makes me think of another possible game: a restaurant, with waiters and busboys and maitre de, and kitchen with the various types of employees there, and tables full of patrons. A table of four gets a bonus of X, but hold Waiter Tom and the four tables he services for an extra bonus (much like "World 2.1").

To make it more realistic, I would have at most two vodkas (I'm not sure about the idea of varying quality of vodka). The bars I have worked in generally have two optics of vodka which means that at best, two players can have a vodka, but that player can get multiple bonuses with the vodka. For example, if you have a bonus for vodka + OJ and a bonus for vodka + coke then a player having one vodka, the coke, and OJ, would get both bonuses.
