I had this idea around the same time as Tribal War - Florida, but I still haven't found the right starting image, or been able to wrap my brain around how the gameplay would ultimately work. I'm throwing this out there to see if anyone has some good thoughts on how to start. You know what they say, "to begin is half the work". I'm not sure who "they" are, but it sounds good. So, anyone think this is worth a shot?

Interesting. Do you have a rough draft of what the map might look like?

Also it's Amistad, not Armistad.

I think the concept is quite sound and would be something almost new for CC.
But i don't think the Amistad would be the ideal vessel (coastal trader)...the Tecora would be better as it was a proper slave ship.
For game purposes you'd need a ship with a couple of decks to achieve this gameplay?

Sounds like a nice idea. I'd consider making it gramatically correct first: L'Amistad is the correct form. :P

Ciao!

Yeah, sorry about that misspelling.

But i don't think the Amistad would be the ideal vessel (coastal trader)

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, the actual Amistad was a schooner, which wasn't originally intended to be a slave ship, which in turn ultimately led to the conditions that made it possible for the slaves to revolt. I had been looking at images and noticed the limited potential game space, which is partially why I don't have an image at the moment. I think it would be easy to take the Amistad "story" and theme and place it into any ship. Cairns, you have any good ship images/thoughts up your sleeve? + :D I know you mentioned Tecora, which I'll take a look at as well.
