Timestables map

So I like maths and I like the idea of having tones of territories so I made this map.

I was thinking about giving the areas listed as the result so (3x4=12) so you would just see12. But then I thought that is could be confusing as 1x12 also equals 12 and 6x2 also equals 12 and when you get up to the higher numbers, like 2256, it can get confusing and hard to calculate. So now I’m just thinking that saying (3,4) would work better saying the horizontal numbers first.

I was also thinking about what boundaries I should make, but then i though they were not necessary as there is 2500 or was meant to be by I forgot to add the side bar resulting in there only being 2401 territories.

Anyway tell me what you think and what you think would be the best way to play the game.

What's your reasoning behind the color placement?

placement? do you mean why these colours? i just thought they look colourful/cheerful and there very clear cut colours as they are the defalt colours on word, so are easly identifiable to the region they belong to

Have you thought how this would look with the army numbers on it?

Yes. If it's gonna be a times table map there has to be something times-table-related in the bonus structure, otherwise it's just a grid of pretty colors that hurt our eyes, I'm afraid.

I thought the map was about time stables. You know, the place where you keep your time horses.

I thought that exactly. The map reminds me of the feeling when I first saw Hive.

Hes not going to be decreasing the number of territories in any hurry, so i doubt its going to go through

also, with the 'times tables' idea, mabey getting all territories that have the same product gives a bonus. ie having the 30's (3.10, 10.3, 5.6, 6.5, 1.30, 2.15, 15.2,) obviously the more factors the larger the bonus. And then give prime numbers a larger bonus so they are 'special', or make them killer neutrals...just something interesting

If you really want to keep the idea of fighting over one territory that has a huge bonus then maybe make it 1. But I think that falls out of the criteria 'useable for all game types'.

make the size of the neutral army on it the answer

or you must have deployed on for example the 5x6 square 30 troops in order to get a bonus

the smaller answers give smaller bonuses, the larger answers give larger bonuses

so ill edit the map a little but i was thinking, about the idea of giveing the peron on 3.10 30 armies but i thought that everyone would just be drawn to the bottom right side of the map and the numbers would get to big. but your idea (5.6, 3.10...) of equaling 30 would enable me to give the middle numbers the most bonuses. and thats a good idea greenoks, ill see what i can do...

Frankly, I'd say you'd be better off discarding this map idea for now, and thinking of a more feasible concept. I don't frankly see much potential in this map, and I'd like to see you put your time and effort into something that has a better chance of actually making it.

(sorry, but someone has to administer the "bad medicine")
