I was reading about the capital competition and the part of it where each capital is connected to one adjoining territory, (and probably the yellow colour in the example gameplay diagram), made me think of fried eggs and how they would be good in this situation, (yolk = capital, egg white = adjoining territory). This started me thinking about a map set in a cafe, then at a breakfast table, before finally thinking about a map set around a full english breakfast.

I couldn't find many food based maps and none that are based around breakfast so this could be a bit unique. Players fight over who gets the breakfast. Winner gets to eat, losers go hungry. The 8 food items can be the main bonus regions, each with its own capital, (or not), and which attack each other where they overlap. Of course the food items would contain several territories. The beans and mushrooms could have the higher territory counts since they spread out a lot more on the plate IRL, while things like the tomato would have the lower territory counts since you don't get many of them in a full english breakfast. The knife, fork, salt, pepper and serviette can have territories linking up different food bonus regions.
Just a rough idea I thought I would put out there.
