Alagaesia: Based on the Book Eragon

I have but started... but i am not very good at, Map making. My idea Was to use the origonal map and names from the book and create a map from in. All the different lands will have bonus, Army leader positions will give bonus and so will capturing the location of the Dragons. I would love to team up with an expert map maker or two because i feel this map could be awesome.

There is good potential there. You have to watch out for copyright issues. The original map and names from the book would fall under copyright so you can't use those...

I would so love this map. I'm a huge fan of the Alageasia series. I know it'd be hard to do due to copyright laws, but I'd love to see this published.

However a similar map with different names would be good.

If you can get agreement from the copyright holder, you can use the real names (and perhaps even the map from the inside cover of the books. (The Discworld map got permission from the author.)
