For me, a couple of things jump out as immediate concerns:

1. Your map title is "German Invasions of Denmark and Norway", yet there are only two German territories on the map.
2. You've started with 8 territories, so imagine you're going for conquest-style gameplay. There are potential issues with the proximity of starting territories to others; and you need to find a way of allowing eliminations to occur in the usual-way in addition to the holding of the objective
3. There has to be a reasonable balance towards achieving the objective; with players unable to elimate each other, I can;t see any obvious way that this would occur as things stand.

As for graphics, I really wouldn't worry about them. Your draft above is fine to show how you intend things to work, and I'd rather see you invest your thought and energy into playing the game in your mind and seeing how things might be likely to pan out ;-)

there are only two German territories on the map.

Thats because the atacks started from there. In all maps I found this 2 places started the atacks.

you need to find a way of allowing eliminations to occur in the usual-way in addition to the holding of the objective

So there will be no more the 1 way assault. Even because, germany won, but This map allow the players to change history. Maybe Britain could have won. Maybe Sweden could do something since the proximity with norway. So, I'll allow players to do whatsoever they want.

1) Call it Operation Weserübung.
2) I'd rather see territories.
3) Perhaps if there were less territories that made up Norway and Denmark they could be an achievable objective and non-assailable starting positions wouldn't be such a huge problem.
3a) Or make the starting positions naval groups which could be sunk or destroyed and have them be assailable. You should cut the Swedish positions in favor of two additional German ones, as what historical maps I'm looking at show three forces leaving wilhelmshaven.

Who has control of the fleets a the start of the game? are those randomly distributed to all the players?

Hi, I noticed there are a few spelling errors here and there. I thought I'd just make a list of them once and for all, so you won't have to revise the map again and again, just to fix one of them. OK, here we go:

Captions etc.:
atack ---> attack
april ---> April
german ---> German
norway ---> Norway
denmark ---> Denmark

Names of territories:
Wilhelmshoven ---> Wilhelmshaven
Aoborg ---> Aalborg
Solo ---> Sola
Kristionsond ---> Kristiansand
Dombas ---> Dombås
Andalsnes ---> Åndalsnes
Norvik ---> Narvik
Luleo ---> Luleå

Let's just hope the Norwegian CC'ers don't come along and start commenting :-$ 8-)

London, Rosyth and Edinburgh all come into contact immediately which is an enormous disadvantage, you should really have it so there is a roughly equal number of territs separating each player from their neighbour.

Your objective is a little ambitious at the moment, there is no way a player will choose to take over all that over eliminating his opponents old style. Perhaps the objective should be to take key cities (About 4-6 would be about right)

Ok. Finaly the needed improvements.
Those non-numbered territories will be randomly distributed.
What do you think about the new objective? Did you like Berlin in the map?

This map seems to be building momentum.

I love the potential it has to be a really well played map. Out of curiosity, I was wondering (being Scottish) why you went for Rosyth as one of your territories as oppose to Dunfermline, St. Andrews of Kirkcaldy. Those three places are much better known in that area than Rosyth.

As a side thought perhaps British and German fleets shouldn't be allowed to take over each other (Via the white lines), instead they could bombard each other. Giving a feel for naval battle trying to claim naval superiority. It would make the sea harder to hold since the Germans could easily come back into the sea area via Germany and vice versa for the UK. This would also mean that armies would need to remain in the fleets to ensure naval superiority while reducing the overpowering factor that holding all the fleets would bring.

Keep up the good work.

Fair enough, I did a little research of my own on Google maps. It seems modern day Rosyth has a port while the other places I mentioned do not (as far as I could tell). So Rosyth is probably the best place to use for the purpose of this map.

Ok I hate to say this, since you're still in gameplay and you should be focusing on gameplay... but the visual look of your map is a mess... It's way too cluttered to make any sense out of. Sorry, I don't mean to be mean but it's just how I feel.

Perhaps you could make the assault routes thinner, by making the dots smaller. Then the map would be considerably easier to read, and it would be easier for people to analyze the gameplay.

Could I please have feedback on the rest of my post please?

Thanks Gimil. I liked the idea of ships bombarding enemy fleets. I will add it on the map, but first im trying to reorganize it as natty asked

this map has a great concept with plenty of potential. i notice that some of the start positions shown in v2.0 have turned into starting neutrals in v3.0. is this deliberate? will there still be 8 start positions, with everything else starting as neutral?

ian. :)

[Moved]

It would appear that development of this map has stalled. If the mapmaker wants to continue with the map, then one of the Foundry Moderators will be able to help put the thread back into the Foundry system, after an update has been made. ;-)
