heres my idea i want to make a golf map ... im thinking 3 holes a par 3 4 and 5. with relitive bonuses for each and ten-1 for bunkers and maybe a special bonus for all the flags or the club house ... i really got no idea where t go from here but its my idea so if you could help me get it going o have any ideas to help message me .. . please

I like the idea, I personally get tired of maps of countrys, citys, etc etc... I appreciate the different maps like the poker one, oasis, and "golf" ? ..

I might have 8 holes though.. one for each player, each player starting at a teebox on a hole.

why not just make it a 9 hole executive course.. about a par 32
so.. thats 9 areas to control and at least 32 regions total.

The tee box on each is a region... the fairway... the fringe and finally in the hole for a par 3.. but thats 4 regions for that hole. The walkway to each hole can also be a region for either the prior hole or the current hole.

You could control the club house as part of hole 1 and connect it to hole 9. You could control the out-house, water station and ball cleaning station for extra bonuses...

There would be slices/draws/shanks.. etc that would allow you to attack other holes! Wow..the more I talk about this..the more I like it!

LOL I was thinking a little more simple but i love the 9 hole idea i was thinking maybe use the club house as a gateway to all tee blocks..then going from there ... ive sat and thought about this for about a month now but got no idea where to go from here .. i couldnt even do the drawing you di .. maybee i could just throw my ideas out there and you could just run with it and throw me and my brother a special thanks for the idea ... i think they would allow that i just wanted to post it so my idea wasnt stolen and it went into the right hands ..

really good idea..add bunkers and perhaps make bunkers/sandtraps negative 1 each round??..i like the concept

Crazy golf could work, as could a 9 or 18-hole course... but who heard of an 8-hole golf course? :?

Haha, nice. Feel free to use this draft if you want. I lost motivation/got to busy with other stuff to continue it. I would really love to see a golf map in action though. All the best!

i think it'd be cool if, as people have already said, bunkers are -1, but you are required to own them as part of a bonus for holding an entire hole. that way, there's more risk involved in taking a bonus, since if it gets broken, you're stuck with the -1 x however many bunkers are in the hole. the problem, though, would be that larger holes would have more bunkers, which would make the net bonus about the same as the smaller holes, and thus screw up the cost/benefit of owning, say , par 5s vs par 3s, if you are sticking with par # = bonus #.

you could make interconnecting water hazards conquerable but revert them back to neutrals at the end of each turn.

restrooms and water fountains +1 autodeploy? lol.

If you set this up with 9 holes you could have the first map ready for 9 man settings which will come eventually.

Also If you just got an areal of a real golf course, even a famous one, you could just do a layer thing.

if you're going to use an aerial shot of a real golf course, the ones in kauai, hawaii are really pretty (although i don't know how well that translates to a good CC map). my favorite ones to play when I'm out there are the poipu and princeville courses, they are absolutely gorgeous and amazing! :)

I started working on this again.. I should have something up to view by thursday night. I also do not like the race to the last hole. Ill use something similar to what I outlined in my earlier post.

Slices, Draws and so on will be able to take you from one hole to another besides just the cart path.
Each hole will be divided into regions based on the yardage of the hole.
Will tinker with bunkers worth -1
Will tinker with the clubhouse and water stations worth bonuses

Any other ideas?
