The coastline and the territory borders are nicely drawn. But you're going to need the bonus area names here. Maybe put them inside those coloured squares.
As for the colours, they are a bit.. ugh. Hurts the eyes, so bright... All red & orange & pink, just... try to drop the saturation of the colours a bit. Or choose some different ones. Just because it's a southern america country doesn't mean the colours need to be all bright and warm.
As for graphical advice... some drop shadows on the playable areas maybe.
Since you're using paint.net, I
strongly advise installing at least these plugins if you haven't already:
http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopi ... 16&t=22819 <--- shaped bevel, outline, vertical/horizontal flip
http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopi ... 16&t=22881 <--- drop shadow

Your bonuses would be incorrect too...Patagonia should not be the same as el capital... patagonia only has one border whereas el capital has three.. where's the unique gameplay on this? Can i get from one side to another?

No need to worry about the bonus values yet... they will be put in shape in the gameplay workshop.
24 territories though... it's a bit on the low side. Is there any way you could consider to increase the territory count on this? Maybe adding some cities, or something... and a sea route between Faulklands and Buenos Aires would be good, it would make for more dynamic gameplay... There's kind of a bottleneck in the south as it is now, the sea route would fix that.
The white text is kinda hard to read on that colourful land area, try the outline plugin (the link to which I posted earlier) on the text layer. Drop shadow can also work. Just play around with the settings until you figure them out.
Meanwhile, you should submit a design brief for your map, if you wish to get it moved ahead into the gameplay shop.

The Falklands isn't recognized as part of Argentina. Perhaps it could have some special designation.

Argentina calls them "Las Islas Malvinas" anyway

Also, you should consider adding some impassables. At the moment, only the orange bonus areas seem easily defendable. Which would give the advantage to whoever manages to take either of them in the beginning, letting them build up while the others scramble and fight for the other bonuses.
See if there are any rivers, mountains, jungles, etc. that you could implement as impassable borders.

Redid colours and bonus regions. Might have time to research impassables tomorow.

Nice job. Remember to look for those plugins I told you about. Trust me, they make working with paint.net a hell of a lot easier, and more efficient.

WHAT IF: Faulkland Islands (Islans Malvinas) wasn't part of patagonia and thus you have to defents santa cruz AND tierra del fuego to hold that bonus!

Made Faulklands no bonus, added bevel and added river next to Mesopotamia.
Currently designing bridges and mountains.

It seems you got the plugins to work.
A tip on using bevel: select the area, then create a new layer and put the bevel on the new layer. Then you can adjust the opacity & blend mode of the bevel, to make it look even nicer.
Bevels look nice with the overlay blend mode. It makes the bevel the same colour as the background it is on.
You can even do multiple bevels like this, with varying width, and set a different opacity for each, thus creating a kind of gradient bevel... which can also look very nice if done correctly.

I'm in favor of dropping the bevel all together

Nice job. My tips: (if you don't want, don't do them, even because the map is yours)
1. Try making with diferent colors, so we can read easier the territory names, and it won´t confuse the bonuses.
2. You need to reduce height a little.
3. I don't want to make it complicated, but the cartography team always complaign about small maps. It would be intersting, if you could add chile or uruguay -or both-
4. Make your maximum effort to reduce keywords.

- Made smaller (now within size restrictions)
- Added bridge and mountains
- Reduced opacity on bevel
- Connected Faulklands to Buenos Aires

Yes. I still think you should connect falkland to buenos aires.

Now, try either object outline or drop shadow effect on the text, and the connecting lines on the sea. The text as it is now is hard to read, having a drop shadow or outline on it will improve it lots.

I think I will need more mountains, as bonuses are currently hard to defend. Does anyone have suggestions as to where they should go? I think on the Salta/Formosa border and maybe others.

Extend that mountain you have fully to the upper edge of the map.
Then a gap, so that Catamarca can connect Santiago del Estero, then more mountains between Catamarca & Cordoba, and La Rioja & Cordoba.
Rio Negro river to go the upper edge of that dark green bonus area. Then bridge it between Neuquen and Mendoza.
