Quest for Power !

Long ago, in an age long forgotten, there existed many nations and many kings fighting for power and dominance.
A profet, on his final death bed, spoke these words: " If the leadears gather at the first fullmoon in front of Ra`s piramid, and folow the shadow cast by the tip of the piramid, together they shall discover power beyond human comprehention !"
Then, he told his followers to send this message to all the leaders.
On the first full moon, the most powerfull leaders gathered in front of the piramid, amongst they`re arch rivals, to find the power. They followed the shadow cast by the tip until they stumble upon 4 entry`s to an underground cave. As soon as they found the gates all emperors gave orders that they`re troops that hid in the night advance into the cave by any means possible.
So the emperors entered the 4 gates, not knowing what awaits them.

Inside they found this ( keep in mind that this was drawn by ancient people with no art tallent whatsoever ;) ) .

The players will be spawning in the green main chaimbers.

The blue chaimbers contain +2 mummy`s. It resets to +2 after each round.
The red chamber contains +3 mummy`s. It resets to +3 after each 2 rounds.
The yellow chamber contains +4 mummy`s. It resets to +4 after each 3 rounds.
The gray chamber contains +5 mummy`s. It resets to +5 after each 2 rounds.

The middle white chamber has 1 mummy and if taken gives +5 each round.

Each green main entrance gives +8 if owned .
Each secret tunnel ( purple) gives +6 if owned.

What do you say ? :) Any good ?

Honestly? No.

Now before you jump on me, allow me to elaborate.

What you have here is a sketch, with a shoddily written story as a background... What is that place we are fighting over? why are there mummies? what does Ra's pyramid and the rest of that story have to do with this map, and how are you planning on incorporating that story to the map so that it has any relevance to it?

Besides that, the gameplay does not work. The map is way too symmetrical, and the planned killer neutrals (I have a hard time trying to figure out how you plan on implementing them) will not work, since killer neutrals always revert to neutral when held, there can be no 2 or 3 round delay.

Anyway, I don't want to discourage you. Seeing that this is your first post on the foundry (first post on the forums, even) I applaud you for the effort. But you need to go back to the drawing board and develop this idea a whole lot more before you post your second draft. Try to come up with something less ambiguous. Read some of the mapmaking guides on the forum, so that you know what is and is not possible, then try to come up with an original idea and a plan how to implement it so that it works as a CC map.

Good luck with your future prospects. ;)

Looks like an okay idea. Just a little rough around the edges.

From your preamble, I imagined something more pyramidy... there's definitely something interesting about the concept - the issue really is whether or not there is a niche on CC for it, what with King of the Mountains (Pyramid-themed map), and the Egpyt series...

If you could develop the idea a bit more and get a clearer idea of how this would translate into a playable game, that distances itself from existing gameplay schemas, then you might be onto something...
