I thought for this second one of Paul, you could get extra bonuses for holding the different routes for his missionary journeys... i am not going to do these, just throwing ideas out there... i think lots of people would enjoy these maps on CC
NOT MY MAPS, just copied these off the net.

12 Tribes would be interesting and cool. there was an ancient Israel map a while ago as well... perhaps it could be taken up again.

The St. Paul one is a bit too complex I think for conquering map.. it seems there is too many places to make a decent map. Though in the same vein, a spread of early Christianity map might be cool... from India to Rome.

I agree, this is a pretty cool premise for a map.

At one point I had an idea of a map of when the Israelite's left Egypt and traveled through the desert, crossed the Red Sea and into the promised land. Maybe I'll do a mock up of one this weekend. Any interest in it?

Uh, forgive me but didn't a whole lot not really happen after they got through Egypt? I mean, sure 10 Commandments and the Ark of the Covenant are kind of a big deal and would make great bonuses to grab, but other than that, wasn't it just wandering through the desert?

I dunno, I guess I need to see the map to get a better idea of what you guys have in mind.

Yes true. I am working on from the plagues through the conquest of the promised land to make it a little more interesting. For the plagues would be -1 for every turn held with the exception of the last one being the first born of every living thing in Egypt being killed that would be a killer neutral.

That is about as far as I have thought about it along with their travels and conquest of the Promised Land.

Okay grifton, here is a very rough first draft (although not complete) to give you an idea of where I would like to go with it. I still have to get a few more names put on and work out the bonuses and such, but it's an idea anyways.

i think it would be cool... for sure work some of those plagues in there. I wonder if a map could have different plagues for different rounds in the game being played... and the plagues could go in order how they go in the bible, and maybe during the different plague stages, different areas on the map would be effected... now that would be cool... 8-)

So would you want me to continue working on this? If so, would you mind if I start a new thread so that I can make the updates myself?

Edit: Maybe we can plan a series! This being the first, then the conquest of the Promised Land up through the eventual conquest of Judea and Israel by the Babylonians?
