I see what you mean: National as referring to the ' nation' , the ethno-linguistic group as a whole, as in ' nationalist'. Political as referring to the current political situation. In my part of the world (Western Europe) however, nations (and nationalities) are synonym to countries, hence national for the current national borders. Political because it refers to a political (nationalist) struggle.
I will think about it. Maybe other words are better altogether. But I still do not intend to take this draft further, at least not alone. Anyone interested has my blessing to use my ideas.
