About the impassables again... Now that I think of it, I'm not really sure if it makes sense to use rivers as impassables at this scale, and since there's only 2 rivers on the map they seem a bit out of place... I'm thinking of removing the one in East China, and changing the one in Russia to tundra.

Agreed.Good idea!
Will look a bit strange with a couple of fat rivers.

Was Delhi always exposed to Tibet? I'm not sure If I like that. I'm not sure if I like the Nepal connection either...

I know that there needs to be some gap in that region, it just seems odd that you picked the location of where the worlds largest mountain just happens to be. Maybe Assame and Pakistan can hold the passes, and the middle section can be a solid block.

About the Rivers, good move.

Well I can change the Delhi/Tibet connection to Kashmir/Tibet if that's better... and I guess I could change the Nepal/Tibet to Assam/Tibet, but that would mean there'd be 2 gaps instead of 1...

Yeah I prefer the new Himalayan structure. True there are 2 gaps now, but the actual count of bordering territories remains the same, while properly representing the worlds tallest mountains as an impassable boundary. Also this way Kashmir becomes relevant and a contestable territory just as it is in the real world.

Most good, hats off.

Ok so can we say the impassables are pretty much done now? Fixed in place gameplay-wise? I could start working on the mountain graphics if no one has any more suggestions regarding the impassables...

Ok, some mountains in. Let me know if this mountain style works, before I draw the rest of them.

I think you could make it a bit clearer but that may spoil the map so I'd leave it. Its obvious they are mountains but your eye can pass them by a bit easy thats all I mean.
Other option is to make some bump map mountains but you are not going for that look right?

maybe it would help if he made all the mountains the same color, not sure how it will look on the map, but it will help with visibility.

Meh, there are plenty of maps where the mountains are the same colour as the background, and no one's complaining. I think it fits the style of the map. However if it becomes an issue I'll consider something else.

I think you can keep them the same color so long as you add in some heavier shading, so that they jump out a little more.

Hm, I'm not sure if those mountains would fit the style of the map... I think I should keep it relatively simple for this one.

I think the mountains work, but wouldn't mind seeing some of them snow-capped

Also, why no Alps?
