What Makes This Map Worthy of Being Made: It's up there all the time.

[/bigimg]Has anything like this been tried? This is obviously a very rough first draft designed merely to display a starting point. I envision each Mountain/Crater/Sea being a bonus region comprised of maybe three to eight territories. Own X number of terts of the same type for some other bonus?? Beyond that I'm open to suggestion. This map could remain quite simple or, call it "Colonizing The Moon" and make up all sorts of crazy stuff (like highways and/or large regions for USA, Russia, China). It might also be useful if we could think up some reason to make a few impassable areas. Unexplored regions? Or turn those mountains into impassable chains?
As you can see, I'm looking for any signs of interest and any ideas to make this map worthy of consideration. Thanks.
