I'm scratching the "space invaders" theme. I'm going for a dark evil hellish map. Hand drawn so there will be sketch feel to it.
Start with the 3 on the base of the column. +5 auto deploy ever turn.
Move up the column (2-way movement) to the top. The top can attack any of the lower skulls, with a +5 Neutral.
Occupy 3 lower skulls, get a bonus.
The lower skulls can attack the upper skulls (Neutral 10). These upper skulls can attack the master skulls with the curved horns, and can also attack back down to the top of the columns (heart looking things). This will force players to keep their columns fortified.
The upper curved horn skulls are represented by a green star on the excel grid. There will be 3. They all can attack the tail of the snake, which will be curved. 1-way attack from tail to head.
The head will lead into the mouth of the demon god. Conquering this will win the game (objective).
Graphics for this map will be hand drawn. The sketch below is just a rough sketch, and will not represent the map graphics at all. I will sketch everything by hand. Scan in and colorize and retouch with Photoshop. - Bad news with this is that once I post the graphics, it will be really really really tough to change things. Therefore, I want to have gameplay solid before I attempt anything.
These are just thoughts - I hope someone will look this over and have some more / different ideas.
