16 losses for the Indians, in some year in the 70's. At first, I actually thought it was Ferguson Jenkins for the Cubs, but he was a whopping 6 behind. Your move, Incandenza.

What team in the four major sports holds the record for the longest winning streak?

Miami Dolphins would be the obvious pick for me if it were an NFL team, but I doubt that's right. So I'm going with the Montreal Canadiens, hopefully that's right.

actually I am thinking it might actually be the lakers although the bulls wouldn't surprise me upon a 2nd reading of it
