Gah can't believe I missed the most exciting part of the season!

Wow well played cena really thought I'd thrown the title away :) I was trying to make Norfolk the Arsenal of the CCPL with my training.. with that crushing defeat to opposition lower down the table through horrific defending I think I managed it :D

Can't thank you enough pmc this game was amazing and the match reports were hilarious- you have to do another season!

Now back to work..I need to sell Rooney and Gerrard in the summer transfer window and replace them with a 12 year old Peruvian boy and a player who seems to get worse with every game and every new position he is played in.

Oh and pmc.. was my training better off before or after I went all-out attack?

Your welcome a lot of work went into that.

icedagger wrote:Can't thank you enough pmc this game was amazing and the match reports were hilarious- you have to do another season!

Thats the problem, the thing that makes this unique is the match reports but they are the only bit I have trouble doing. Im sprucing up the program but the problem will remain the same. Im thinking of trying standard paragraphs but then thats repetitive and boring. I could do one match report (or more) per week and produce basic computer generated reports for the rest. Bah I dont now what to do I have a lot of ideas for the program just don't know how to display the games.

Now back to work..I need to sell Rooney and Gerrard in the summer transfer window and replace them with a 12 year old Peruvian boy and a player who seems to get worse with every game and every new position he is played in.

that would help with inflation.

Probably before but at least you were entertaining!

Btw how much do you make up about the match report? Does the program only give you the result? i.e Team a 3 Team b2 ?

Players Player of the year voting:

C. Ronaldo (Red Stick)-0
Rooney (Norfolk)- 1 (lsu)
Aguero (Redcar)-0
Gerrard (Norfolk) -0
Terry (TR Clowns) -2 (lozz, iliad)
Drogba (Down Under)-0
Fabregas (Emo) -0

Ideal training:
Attack 68
Defence 75
Pace 80
Fitness 37
Team Moral 37
Set pieces 70
Discipline 25
Strength 47
Passing 40
Technique 21

I played around with training for a while and this is what I got as the best i could come up with, if you used cena's latest tactics with icedaggers team against amino with these tactics amino would win 3-0 away from home.

I was surprised myself with some of this, espicially how highly rated set pieced were, considering barely any of you rated it. Also technique barely mattered which is completely untrue in rl. I also thought moral played a bigger role apparently not. Oh well its all about to change.

Iliad
It gives me the scores, who scored, any injuries or bans and a basic player rater, that doesnt really relate to the score. Plus it gives me a few numbers so I know what went right/wrong about your training. The rest is my own creation. But when I re-write it Im going to get it to give me possesion, shots, shots on target, who took each shot and who made each pass for the shot etc. and hopefully it will link nicely together.

It looks like being a partial takeover, with us co-modding.

btw, i know that amino and lozz got relegated but you can still play, just you may get less money in the transfer window. (assuming we keep just 8 teams).

I would rather start from scratch. The team-building and auctioning was really fun

I'd rather have a new team too.. maybe give us a smaller budget and less great players so players under excellent are actualy used?

Also Vote Drogba for managing to stay on his feet for the majority of the season.. a major achievment for him :)

I tried to encourage trading i.e. if you wanted to sell an excellent player and someone wanted to buy one it could save you 60 points each but no-one wanted to.

I am seriously considering turning this into an 11-a-side game. It wouldn't actually make any more work to the system. Something I am definately adding is fitness, so that players get tired and have to be replaced or else their performance will drop. As well as moral so that if a player plays badly for a few matches he will play worse than players with less ability meaning choices actually have to be made.

Im thinking of giving you a small budget, say 500 but turning it into 11-a-side. Meaning everyone will have to get up to a minimum of 16 players with just 500 points, meaning if you have 10 players you will need to buy 6 players for 500. i.e. some players will need to be sold or else you get a bunch of diddies.

Or we can start from scratch again with you all getting to keep say 2 or 3 players and getting a poor team with a lot more cash. Either way i would prefer 11-a-side.

Thoughts?

11 a side would be nice, especially if you can choose formations. Also I think we should start from scratch. Also it would be cool if you posted the first half and we could sub on people at halftime or something like that.

Changing formations- doable but would take time.
scratch-noted
substitutes- Can be done but not your way, you could pre-specify times or conditions or both in which a player could come on. It would work in multiples of 5 minutes and have conditions like if winning/ losing etc.

e.g.
Substitutes
45 mins- Messi on Ronaldo off.
Anytime- if losing- Beckham on Juninho off.
75 mins- if not winning- Downing on Babel off.

This was something I would quite like to do works weel with the fitness idea, also this would leave room to change tactics/ formations as well.
