There had been a lot of confusing days in the manor. Lots of deaths, disappearances, arrests, footsteps and whispers at night, mysterious personalities and alignment changes. Despite all of this terror and confusion, perhaps no day was as confusing as Day 6.
The guests wracked their brains, reenacting all the events in their head- from the time they arrived at the mansion til now. They remembered that Mr.Black and Mr.Boddy owned the secret passage keys.
He sat back in the lounge chair. It was his normal spot. He continued to drink his bottle of whiskey and slumber on the chair throughout the day. He watched as the other confused guests debated with each other back and forth. He sat there and relished the moment. He could remember it like it was yesterday. No one in the house yet, had discovered his penchant for causing mysterious blackouts. What they didn’t know was that the lounge chair covered up an underground electric box. He could easily keep the cord in his hand while he slept. No one paid him a bit of attention anyways.
He remembered the first time he caused a stir in the house by causing a black-out. He remembered how he bolted up, hit Mr. Boddy on the head and took the keys.
And that wasn’t the only time he caused a black-out to escape from the crime scene.
And it was because of these universal truths/facts:
1). He knew about the war bonds before even arriving at the mansion.
2). He knew that his set of keys were for the lounge/conservatory secret passage.
3). He didn’t know if the war bonds were hidden in the lounge/conservatory tunnel or the study/kitchen tunnel.
4). He failed to get the second set of keys, as a prior killer beat him to it.
5). Whoever had the war bonds, rather it was one person or more would have to figure out who had the keys.
6). No one knew exactly which tunnel has the war bonds, as the map doesn’t specify.
7). The safe with the war bonds was bobby-trapped.
8 ). Only three guests can disalarm the trap; one has experience with stolen radio parts, and the other is a realtor with a secret set of blueprints of the manor, and the one with the wrench.
9). One guest always carries a revolver on them, and will use it at any time. Another guest always has a wrench on them. Must be trying to fix something.
10). Some of the guests will be lucky enough to bring a weapon with them. Either for protection or murder.
He was confused himself. He knew that he had one set of the keys. Now the mystery was, who had the other pair? And how would this person have had known to steal the keys? Seriously, who else could know that? Who else could read his mind? Only a psychic right?
Nah! That was a ridiculous thought. “How ludicrous!” he thought to himself. There wasn’t any such thing as a psychic. No one could have powers like that. Could they?
He knew it was a race against time. Tonight, he knew he would get one shot to approach the person who had the other set of keys. And he knew he would have to approach them before the person/s with the map.
Someone found the note for the war bonds. And that someone was going to be looking for him and the other person with the set of keys.
He also knew that if it was more than one person, they would either have to agree to approach together or split up.
He continued to sit on his lounge chair drinking and pondering. Some big decision were left to be made.
Instructions for Night 6
If you have the keys- You know who you are. And you know you can’t get to the war bonds without the map.
If you have the war bonds- You know who you are. And you know you can’t get to the war bonds without the keys.
If only one person has the map to the war bonds- you can only pick one person who you think may have the keys.
If a group of people have the map to the war bonds- they still must each pick someone to partner with, whom they think may have the keys. They don’t all have to pick the same person.
If you have a set of keys- you may pick a partner person who you think may have the war bonds.
If you don’t have either the map or the war bonds- do not despair. You may pick one individual whom you would like to partner with for the night.
Everyone who doesn’t already have a weapon may pick one. And it’s first come, first serve, as there are only 4 weapons of choice. Revolver and Wrench are already taken.
Before any of these actions take place, someone MUST be lynched. I will not count any actions sent before someone is lynched.
Choose the lynch target wisely. These instructions will be repeated once the day ends.
Carry on with Day 6.
