I am a townie. When I roleclaim, I become bulletproof and unlynchable, but I will no longer be able to vote. The reason I didn't want to offically claim was because I believe that losing my vote was essentially having me as a free lynch/kill for the mafia, since the way I see it, without a vote, you might as well be dead. And now since you're unkillable we have a 100% confirmed townie (once the lynch test and no vote tests are passed, that is). So it's not all that bad. You're not the only voteless townie (tho I don't know strike's abilities).

I still recommend going ahead with the slow lynch just to test his unlynchability, unless we have better scum targets. I want to take a look at VS after we settle the slow case.

Yeah, if he's truly unlynchable, then testing the claim isn't necessarily a bad idea. I would like Sully to explain himself after this testing of slow.

As for whether it's a bastard role, I don't think so. Being invulnerable is extremely strong, so being voteless makes sense balance wise. Also, busdrivers can now drive you with someone they think is a town PR to soak up possible mafia NK's. So yes, there is still utility for a voteless townie like yourself.

This actually a rather awesome role if we have busdrivers around. As good as a doc IMO. I am uncertain if wasting one of our lynches on testing his claim is a good idea. It's a pretty ballsy claim if you can't back it up.

This makes sense for a skitzo role. There was a similar role in Resort Mafia who would randomly do either a protection, investigation, kill, or roleblock on the target.

Actually, if we look at sully's powers, even though he's third party, his powers tend to benefit town more than they do mafia.

If Sully targets town:

1. Protection- Good for townie, keeps them alive.
2. Investigation- Good for townie, clears them from being scum.
3. Kill- Bad for townie, we lose a townie.

If Sully targets mafia:

1. Protection- Can be neutral or bad, depending on whether or not the town vig picked up on a scumtell and knew who to shoot at night. Odds of that right now are pretty low, and if we do have a town vigilante, they're wisely not killing anyone just yet because we haven't outed any extra mafia members.

2. Investigation- Good, unless he targeted the Mafia Godfather. It's how we got Mr. Squirrel.

3. Kill- Good, eliminates one more mafia member, can preemptively kill the Godfather without us having to worry about fakeclaims, etc.

So in summary, if Sully targets someone who is townie, we have a 66% chance of doing something beneficial.

If Sully targets a mafia member, we have also at least a 66% chance of doing some beneficial.

I'm willing to believe Sully's role until his actions speak otherwise, and I do not believe he is a good candidate for the third lynch. It's possible his character could be viewed as a threat to town by accidentally killing a townie early on, hence the fakeclaim. But his actions so far (especially getting rid of Mr. Squirrel) make me believe he's probably not mafia (although this does border on WIFOM).

Oh absolutely. After we clear/hang slow, we should probably go back and take a look at anything suspicious anyone else has done before lynching again, as it will go to night phase after that.
