I believe Rodion can be another option due to his high rank. A third option would be a player who's experienced in mafia.

Roles are assigned randomly. CC Rank is determined by Risk not mafia. This smells fishy to me.

Regardless of how correct Catnip was in trying to make a serious case on Zimmah, since the game did get serious, I'd rather we not go back to jokevoting.

@Eagle - getting someone lynched is the plan, but it's not rare to see D1s end in no lynches if the players that get to claim are believed and the deadline is too short to get a new case rolling

Yes the whole point of the game is to try and discover scum but normally for the first week there is no evidence and we all have a laugh and vote people for stupid reasons. Zimmah voted you because you were new (a very common reason in the jokevote stage), and you instanlty OMGUS'd him. I've played with zimmah before and know he is a very aggressive player and this does seem a tad aggressive even for him but I personally hate metagaming (partly the reason I jokevoted Rodion) and have not seen enough of zimmah to make a full decision.

Zimmah is fairly new to CC Mafia, and I would be very willing to say that only Rodion & pcm are the expireneced players. Zimmah probably didn't realise you were new - he did get the 1st post - and may not have pay attention to the discussion before (some players do, some wait for the title to change).

Anyway enough about zimmah & catnip which I think are two players in a catfight (pardon the pun) over spilt milk. I would like to continue my suspicions on eagleblade.

If you're a daytime cop or summat we can get a doc WHO SHOULD NOT CLAIM!! to protect you so you don't die but if you have no evidence then there is no case. And according to the laws of probability Rodion is town (yes I could the same about everyone but if you pick a random person, odds are that they are town) so at the start we can consider everyone as town and as people act scummy *cough* we change our views and lynch them. Not some random person (OK its D1 the case is often very weak but we don't just name one person i.e pcm and take them to L-2).

i actually didn't vote him, i normally would have voted him, because he was the first post before the day started and therefore also the first post above me except for the mod. but since he has kittens in his avatar i skipped him and then decided to go with the questionmark instead. since he didn't have a sig/avatar i had to comment about his username and other stuff.

i assumed someone with that much kittens in his profile would be a nice person because i love kittens. guess i was wrong.

he keeps accusing me of being scum, while he doesn't even know how to play the game. from now on, i'll just ignore everything he sais. this game has 11 players to me, i can't stand fool logic. i won't waste my vote nor breath on him anymore nor my tme reading his insults. learn to play before rushing the jokevote stage into the real thing, after the very first post.

It was a joke. Its a non vote. I think folks assume, myself included day one is silly day. I think the seriousness has arisen due to catnip not knowing how the first day traditionally goes.

Either day one is joke day or it is not. It cant be both. What we are seeing is catnip jumping on the first thing he sees not knowing what he is seeing. As others suggested read a few games, read the rules.

Very unusual indeed. I LIKE IT haha. And mafia IS strange like that, where once you get into a new phase there is no going back...

ONE more thing. Whatever we go lets vote someone off either way. Like just force a majority basically. I might sound like a noob to mafia so someone correct me if your not suppose to do this

Yes - the day should end with at least 1 claim (if not 2 depending on the claim), and most likely a lynch. However, there is no need to rush into it, lets continue to discuss, get all players involved, and look for someone acting scummy.


Okay --- time to dive in to the thick of things here.... ---

Okay I will be honest... I started making this post, thinking that Catnip was completely noobish and not really understanding how things went... I was at work today and I guess misinterpreted the tones of the posts... I was just excited the game started so I was eager to jokevote... I too thought she was hiding behind the noobie shield as someone else said based upon some phrases she used and intended to vote her after this post, but I have reread them all and I do not see her as particularly scum.

After Catnips post.. Zimmah instantly responded with, "Are you serious", and catnip pretty much said yes. Zimmah responded with a picture pretty much saying "you are an idiot", and catnip came at him again.

Its peculiar how this happened, and things would have turned out much differently had Zimmah had not responded at all or brushed it off.....

Am I confident either one of them are scum? No not really.... I don't think Zimmah was necessarily wrong in reacting how he did, as others said he is normally pretty vocal and won't think twice about posting his opinion. I think this just set catnip off even more, "thinking why is he being so agressive instead of ignoring me if I am wrong?"

Well pretty much you attacked a more aggressive player, for a complete jokevote... thats why you got that response from him...

I also wish to change my tone about Catnip. I didnt expect the game to accelerate so quickly and i didnt read thing through as closely as I could have assuming, it was full of first day drivel. I can only speculate, but other than that I have no idea what is going on.
