Nice job work with the white wolf find! Figured something was up with him. He was voting too quickly, wayyyy before the 2 day limit for his role. RL Tomorrow I want to review LC’s play style and will post again. Quick thoughts the wolf accusation on Charle and Charle dying as a townie leads me to believe he is some what inexperienced. With his role I would have kept quiet and not claimed Seer and if I did claim such an important role I would have thrown another wolf under the bus to gain possible town credit if I ended up surviving the day. So the play style is odd to me. I 100% agree with Devantes investigation on Charle, I would have thought wolf too, so I’m thrown off. Is it possible that white wolf knew other wolves? Will read more in the morning

I did not know we couldn't barber-kill and lynch in the same day. I guess not much of a loss because I was going to push for a Charle lynch probably.

I also don't know if I can kill again. Traf's setup doesn't say I can't, but the pact says the barber only has one shot.

Yeah, probably...
I considered the idea that Traf chose the lovers randomly himself... but that would be more divergent from the source material.
But choosing the lovers on Day 1, as it is in W.O.M.H., makes it more like a lottery anyway

Do you think there are one or two wolves left?
I would be surprised if there was more than two.

Also, what other Town roles might there be among the six unnknowns besides witch, defender, and cupid? Maybe something almost vanilla, like the scapegoat?

Also the other part of the Witch role is a resurrection, but in W.O.M.H. it sounds like it is only a random resurrection of whomever was killed by a wolf the night the potion is used.

Probably at least 2 wolves left. That would make it 3 wolves plus a white wolf, plus a potential conversion, at game start. Which seems balanced.

I still think we should be looking at the max wagon.

Also we haven't put any heat on inactives yet this game. What do people think about pressing thor60 today?

@traf can you confirm if there was a witch in play, not to say there is but if there was, and a resurrection was used would you post it as a mod or it would be unknown that there was a resurrection?

So, Dega, Pixar, Thor and Ragian are the four unknowns who voted for Max...

Pressure on Thor (& Ewebasher?) sounds good... we are even at the point where a mass claim might be reasonable.
It is worth it if we can puzzle out the one or two liars from the four or five truth-tellers.

But also on the downside, if there is a wolf not lynched (or two), he could take his pick of power-role Townies tonight.

I can narrow down the list of suspects if you want. This means, however, that the wolves have fewer unknowns to choose from.

Yes, he would - he helps them choose the victim at night. I don't think the other wolves knew what he was - though they might suspect that one of them was if their numbers seemed unbalanced from the start, and they would certainly know if he ever killed a werewolf at night.

I think he accused Charle hoping that maybe the actual seer was one of the inactive players who might not counterclaim. Then maybe he could get rid of the barber and have a chance to last longer. It was a very long shot.

Thor hasn't posted since D2 - he may be modkilled soon if he doesn't show up.
Ewebasher was a little active yesterday, but hasn't posted today.

The wolves have not been very effective with their kill choices, so the idea that they may be inexperienced kind of fits.
I'm on the fence about a mass claim, but I'll go along with whatever the majority wants.

I don't think I've ever been in a game with a mass claim - people talk about them, but they never seem to happen, so I don't have much experience about when they are or are not appropriate.

From the source that I usually go to:
Massclaim is frequently employed as a last resort for Towns in ELo, as the resulting danger to the power roles at Night is acceptable given that the Town may lose at the end of the Day.
I'm assuming that we're at 8v2 or, at worst, 7v3, so we're far from being in a desperate situation. We could just let the game play out in the normal manner.

On the other hand, we have a pretty good number of mostly-confirmed townies, we're running low on important roles to expose anyway, and it appears that the wolves do not have safe claims (at least Strike and LC didn't appear to), so a mass claim may be an acceptable risk that would allow us to end the game quicker.

That's why I'm on the fence.

11. SoN!c - claimed as Cupid
12. Ewebasher - active on Day 1, less so as time does on.
13.

15. Thor60 - verrry quiet all the time.
16. Ragian - playing a role that needed (?) to be replaced
17. Degaston - playing a role that needed (?) to be replaced

Why is Swang CONFIRMED TOWN town Vot?

Surely if he hadn't razored LC then it would be the same case as EW not bonesetting you on D2? And a wolf razoring the white wolf is pretty easy for a wolf..the white wolf is 3P after all. Im not throwing shades on Swang but Vot giving him CONFIRMED TOWN seems way too premature

In defence of my recent inactivity, IRL has been a distraction and to be honest it's difficult being a newbie in a set up like this where so many of you have played similar games over the forum before... there has been (from my point of view) a bit too much made of people's play style from previous games or things that people did in previous games...

I did like whoever outed me for not having posted 'today', at 7:13am my time with the game day having started at 11:32pm!?

Anyway now that I'm probably coming over all defensive and therefore suspicious I'll stop with the 'oh woe is me' crap

On a completely separate note I am happy to vouch for SoN!c and Thor as town. Know that SoN!c is pretty much confirmed anyway but given Thor (along with me) is on the radar for being quiet it's handy that I can clear him (or at least attempt to assuming you believe me)

Any Mass Claim (or Individual Claim) should be done in an orderly manner.

First, Thor should show up and give some explanation of his (in)activities, imo.

Oh boy, you are gonna get eaten by Vot now. Anything tied to my name is reason enough for him to skin you alive based on a previous game :D

So unless you have a secret role of some sort vouching for anybody else doesn't count here. It just makes you suspicious.

Anyways, if we go to check out the inexperienced* angle first it's only Josko (Deg), Thor, Parked (Ragian2) and you left. We need Deg and Ragian in here. Both hold the "Most helpfull" medal in here. And you were mentioned by Strike as "slight scum read" so that are good town points for you. That leaves Thorrr to starrrt with? Also we should not think anything of the Mpolo mod kill. Converted wolf ("bitten") DDS couldn't replace Mpolo knowing the other wolves, so Max "Mitch Gung Ho" was probably the only option left to replace Mpolo and Max was not that active either.

*Inexperienced at the moment Ragian1 posted it (so that includes Josko and Parked). And ofcourse Deg is super-experienced but also a mastermind so the possibility remains that he (as wolf) is trying to use the Ragian1 line "the remaining wolves could be inexperienced" to his advantage and exploit it even further to disguise his wolf coat (killing Charle tonight, that is certainly a non-Deg kill in my book If Deg is wolf ofcourse). After all there is 0 scumminess to be found on Deg.. the only thing that rings a bell in the back of my head is his activity level. Seems higher then in the last game when he was town.

Way too early Ragian?

I'd like to hear Vot first why he gave Swang CONFIRMED TOWN status because he did not give EW confirmed status either when EW used his power to the benefit of town. He made him confess even.. Swang did just the same. He used his power and if he didn't do that it would made him look very suspicious. Also, as wolf killing the white wolf is just an extra.

And there where 7 powerroles:

The Bailiff’s House - The Bailiff - Ragian (posthumous confirmed town by Mod )
The Manor - The Lord - Devante - confirmed seer position (confirmed town role)
The Church - The Confessor - Votanic - self declared "confirmed" Town
The Hovel - The Bonesetter - Extreme Ways - confirmed by the confessor as Town
The School - The Schoolmarm - Strike Wolf - AWF
The Pub - The Barkeep - Loose Canon - 3P White Wolf
The Barber Shop - The Barber - Swang918 ?

So the wolves only got 1 powerrole?

Sucks to be them :)

If swang is right with his 3 wolves at the start theory then 1 in 6 was a wolf at the start... so a 1 in 7 power roles doesn't strike me as being too unbelieveable (certainly well within statistical probability)

@Son!c, I can kind of see your point. Swang killed the only wolf that the wolves don't care about and incriminated Charle in the process gotta say, though, that I'd think Charle was a wolf, too, given Loose's play, which is utterly lost on me.

Sure, but that would be the only reason why Swang is getting CONFIRMED status then because i can't see anything else. Swang is about confirmed town as much Pixar is.

Should we wall Thor that he needs to get involved, making a claim or something?

Also Charle (Scandalmonger) was asked by Vot to not use his power again unless asked to do so. So he would not have used his "+2 scandal votes" tonight.. So why targetting Charle? Diversion or inexperience?

I agree 100%.

Also if Charle was a "diversion kill" to make it look inexperienced then Swang is one of the suspects:

swang918 wrote:I did not know we couldn't barber-kill and lynch in the same day. I guess not much of a loss because I was going to push for a Charle lynch probably.

Charle claimed Scandalmonger after Loose his "utterly lost on everybody" play, so Swang as experienced player should have know that -without counterclaim- Charle was town.

Saying he "was going to push for a Charle lynch probably" sounds a bit weird then. Why would you post that?
