Okay, back on terra firma and the first thing I have do do is to apologise to Rodion. I must have been very tired. I meant to vote for Mr Squirrel. I said I would give a fuller explanation when I returned and although I'm probably too tired to think properly I must correct this error immediately. Many apologies to one and all for any confusion. My explanation as to why I vote for Mr Sauirrel has a lot to do with the initial interaction with Rodion, his feeble attempt to joke his way out of that and the fact that everyone forgot all about this.
First things first unvote vote Mr Squirrel
So, back to my explanation ... and harkening back to Rodion's request at page 24 that explanations be as thorough as possible ...
1. Back on day one in the jokevote stage, Rodion voted Mr Suirrel for being a "Bulletproof roussian roullete player". Mr Squirrel votes Rodion right back (jokevoting) but adds "It was the claim I was given. Not totally my fault". This is weasel talk and I suggest that Mr Squirrel is being a sinner (albeit I used the rather convoluted simile of disestablishmentarianism - come on it was the jokevoting stage). Anyways, Shield suggested that Rodion was scum in all his games and that he should be hammered for being at L-1 (he wasn't it was an error by Soundman which he later fixed) but his vote didn't count as he didn't unvote and didn't bold. Meanwhile Mr Squirrel's vote remained. Rodion, nevertheless, softclaims that he is not scum in any of his current games and that Shiled should know that. It was a pressure vote intended to cause a backdown by Shield. Shield jokes "Rodion, you know better to tell about our mafia partnership in on going games" but that is clearly not what Rodion was saying and it seems to me that Shield was softclaiming that he was mafia in another game but I cannot see that it was anything related to this game as such. Conzo chirps in with "What he said. Besides, you're lying of course... You're always scum" alluding to Shield pulling his head in as he agrees with Rodion. Mr Squirrel's vote remained up to this point. I accept this is jokevote territory but it becomed more relevant as time goes on.
2. The next phase of discussion relates to Isiah40 and his underlined clue as to who he was. Mr Squirrel, page 10, immediately leaps on the 12 spaces and suggests "mafia doctor? *Gasp* 12!" and votes for Isaiah. There is of course no such thing (as far as I am aware) as a mafia doctor (at least not by that name) and this really moves away from jokevoting to goading and smearing. Isaiah was nonplussed and said "Hey!! I just pushed the underline until I felt like it was enough! I should vote Mr. Squirrel just because he took the time to count. Hmmmmm ... I'll have to think about that one. I'll get back with you on that one!". Note at this point Mr Squirrel is the first and only vote on Isaiah. Isaiah was so rattled he said "Now that I think about this, Mr. Squirrel must be town if he thinks I am mafia doctor and wants to lynch me! Thank you Mr. Squirrel for your confession!" which came accross like a scum confession but clearly Isaiah was being too clever by half (confused himself by trying to sound clever).
3. The next phase of the game was the unfortunate attack on TeeGee which I started due to him being too quiet but the roll went too quickly fueled of course by VS who was the Mafia Godfather. It is ntoeworthy that Mr Squirrel appears to be scathing of this bandwagon and FOS' everyone who played a part, but I can only suggest that Mr Squirrel had no reason to suppose such a bandwagon would go to lynch at that point - and it didn't. The extension of that phase to TeeGee's editing of his post also met with a similar kind word by Mr Squirrel. But in my view this is a logical reasonableness designed to instill trust in Mr Squirrel on a meaningless issue which should never rationally lead to a lynchy.
4. The next phase came with General's rough-as-guts manner and Sully adds to the vote which Mr Squirrel asks Sully to explain. But note there is no accusativeness in this or blaming Sully or Fosing or anything of the like. It is a way of Mr Squirrel, now having proved trustworthy, tag teaming his Mafia Boss to raise VS' credibility. Nice move, and seamlessly done, but clear as day when pointed out. Incidentally, I pointed out that VS was acting scummy at the time and he was ultimately lynched on day 1. Mr Squirrel's vote remains on Isaiah at this point.
5. Mr Squirrel adds nothing in the remainder of day 1 and on day 2 says he was hit on the head and has only 4 posts. Possibly true, possibly not. Again, having now lost his Mafia Boss he has no-one to tag-team with and cannot risk saying things without damaging hsi credibility. Easier to submarine!
6. We have to leap to page 21 before we hear from Mr Squirrel who uses one of his immensely valuable posts to say that Soundman is a good guy and dead people shouldn't talk. Very suspicious behaviour IMHO for someone who is being careful as to what they can say! Indeed, Mr Squirrel makes no other comment on day two at all and isn't involved in the vote (which at page 26 I mistackenly hammered and din't realise but wasn't the only one considering the subsequent posts and general confusion at the time).
7. Mr Squirrel is the first to post on day 3. He is still active at that poiint. He says "Looks like most of the town is still asleep. I'm gonna read back and see max's previous actions perhaps we can figure out why he was killed. Someone please post that we've got some info in the night." This is, IMHO, an attempt to try and recoup some credibility but also it a fishing exercise to thresh out the important town-folk. And here we are on page 35 with no further comment by Mr Squirrel!
Let me know if you have any questions or whether I have missed anything, but I reckon that 's a solid case. And again oops and sorry Rodion - happy holidays lol!!
