ok, the point of random votes is quite simple. (1 its probably the only time where we can joke without being accused of scum (2 It breaks the ice (3 shows scumy moves by people that can lead to future lynches.
Thanks for a well meant explanation, but you misunderstood me.
I guess I could have phrased it more clearly, but what I meant was not a random vote against, say, you, which might lead to a discussion between you and me, but the 'vote random' option, where the accused remains unnamed and therefore doesn't feel the need to defend himself.
I do usually throw out a random vote or two on day one, but I may not have much time to play this weekend, so I prefer to wait until I'm active enough to unvote in time when the game goed another way.
Maybe that's a bad idea, but I'm still figuring things out
