I wanted to check in at least a little bit today (and probably tomorrow morning), since I'm going to be out of town this weekend and will most likely have limited to zero access to the web until Monday morning.
Looking at the list of participants, I've played with some of you before, but a few people I've never come across so ahoy!
Now, who can I trust? Gilligan, Victor Sullivan, Iron Butterfly, thehippo8...you are all on Team CC...would you dare cross and lie to me?!

I wouldn't if I were you. Your votes makes the fourth one on Andy now. Some people don't like when one person gets too many votes during the joke-vote stage. Accordingly they my turn their attentions some of the later votes whom they will consider to have been either: careless/skimming, bandwagoning, or too eager to get a lynch. One day one where we have essentially nothing to go on, anything people can hold against you can quickly turn to pressure, and pressure can quickly get dangerous for those it is on. On day one, once you get a certain amount of pressure there are basically only three ways it can come off. Someone else can say something even more stupid/scummy and have the pressure directed towards them; you can make a successful defense and/or claim; you get lynched.thehippo8 wrote:No trust without bananas ... not even byTeam CCers?

And you didn't, so noted.Your votes makes the fourth one on Andy now.
We may have use for you later in the game, being able to count and all! Some people don't like when one person gets too many votes during the joke-vote stage.
By "some people", I take it you mean you. Thanks, I will take that as a friendly warning rather than as a direct threat! Note to self: spiesr is a sensitive wee soul.Accordingly they my turn their attentions some of the later votes whom they will consider to have been either: careless/skimming, bandwagoning, or too eager to get a lynch.
Again, I trust the "they" is you. Interesting you would leave off that list: obfuscation, distraction, bluff, lying and other such scumminess. Rather than assuming scumminess I will take it that you are just a little tardy with lists. Nevertheless it is a future character trait that I will keep in mind. Note to self: spiesr has a tendency to miss things. One day one where we have essentially nothing to go on, anything people can hold against you can quickly turn to pressure, and pressure can quickly get dangerous for those it is on.
There is a theme going on here, but I assume that by "people" you mean you. Again, I'll take this as being an expression of your tendency to fly into open hostility at a moments notice. Note to self: be nice to spiesr unless I am ready to have a war.On day one, once you get a certain amount of pressure there are basically only three ways it can come off. Someone else can say something even more stupid/scummy and have the pressure directed towards them; you can make a successful defense and/or claim; you get lynched.
And here you are being somewhat more direct by saying "you". Can't do anything but take that personally now can I? By "someone else" I assume you mean you. So you equate pressure with scumminess. That rether belies the whole nature of the game, doesn't it. Townies don't mind pressure cause there's more of us but scum get rather paranoid, and for good reason! So, it is hereby noted that you have had the first "stupid/scummy" posting and therein lies the rub. Note to self: I wonder whether, despite it being round one, spiesr actually wants a war.
Well, I will take you up on what seems to me to be a direct challenge. I hereby pick up the glove and ...
unvote vote spiesr

For thinking we would miss that he is a double voter.
