I'm sorry to say this is one detail I over looked, while writing up the rules and game. Perhaps I thought no one would do it, or perhaps I simply forgot it, most likely a little of both. It is a mistake on my part, and I am sorry for that. As for quoting PM's I should have made a mention that no quoting can be done, to keep such 'compromises' from happening. So, I will leave it up to all those playing, on what to do.

• Continue on with the game, with the new rule of no directly quoting pms from the mod.
  
• Abandon the game (perhaps coming back to a changed variant of it months from now).
  
• Alternate (Suggest something else)

I'm currently suspending lynch vote counts, until there is a consenus on what will be done.

I would also like to say this is an awfully suspicious move- Not only did Andy suspend lynch vote counts, but Rev Kyle was basically just cleared by Mach.

Either bogus doesn't know how to play, or he is mafia. Maybe a good chance at both....

And I could forge a quote from Andy to say the same thing in a few seconds. I wouldn't have even necessarily believed mach if Andy hadn't responded to the post.

Perhaps though, since he did respond the game is ruined. It would seem like cheating to continue while I have 3 people I'm fairly confident are mafia.

Just seems like a big waste of time and thinking went into this thread though. At least for me and some others- not everyone of course

I find it no different than members of the mafia pretending they are a cop. It might take some work and skill but can really throw the players for a loop.

The whole point is, whether it's real or fake, the PMs that Andy sends us for the game, are not meant to be used as a way to either throw people off, or get people to keep you in the game. It's not.

I believe it was a rule in the first game and it was meant to be one in this game.

I remember reading something to the effect of "quoting the admin may result in a modkill" but I believe that was last time. Mach clearly thought the same thing as did Moz and others, but once Rev quoted him Mach searched and didn't find the rule. I think that was the problem.

Andy, can we at least hear everyones roles if its over? I feel like we invested too much to just end on this note....

Yours was the one I thought was questionable, but I didnt think it ruined the game.

Mach's post was the clincher for me. When he posted the pm with his role, that ruined the game. And again, there wasnt a rule about it, so he didnt think it was wrong.

Here's how I figured mine WASN'T questionable...

Its just as credible for me to say I'm the cop and I investigated wicked and it came up negative.. as if I could have faked the pm.. The reason I put the pm was so the townies wouldnt make a horrible mistake and lynch a cop and it was so sully could go and compare to the other pms.


Posting the whole role though.. which I did after the thread was sort of messed was not so good.
