Please tell me we can lynch him for this? Between this, and what Mr. S and I brought up on him earlier on in the day its a better then decent case, and it beats the living hell out of going after an inactive. UNVOTE VOTE BG!

I didn't say we need to no lynch right away. If you go back and read my actual post, I said that if we didn't have a good viable case, then we MAY consider no lynching. I feel that soundman dug himself a hole with his last post, so i think it warrants some pressure.

In all likelihood, so close to deadline, we are probably not going to get a claim/lynch, but I want to revisit this case tomorrow, so I throw my intentions out there now in the event that I or the person who started the case do not survive the night. I would think that I wouldn't have to explain myself, but BG trying to use me to backup his no lynch vote at this particular instant when we DO have a valid case (imho) is troubling to say the least.

Should I be honored that all these people are calling me the equivalent of Yoda for mafia?

Sorry guys again for being inactive, but after reading all the thread up to here, I have to say Soundman is looking the scummiest. Bg fell farther down on my list after his post, but Sound is looking pretty desperate and I feel we need to get rid of him. In other words,

I see no substance; just 2 bandwagon votes, followed by an unvote while he waits for the next one. Vote soundman to get something going.

My first vote didn't have much substance but we needed pressure. I thought my second post did have some substance though. And I thought I gave a good reason for my vote. Also when I said "time to look for a new case" I was directing it at myself. I'm not the kind to sit back the whole time and wait for others to bring up a case.

So let me get this straight, you're not the kind to sit back and wait, but you have nothing to add?

If you're so interested in scumhunting, why not bring up a case on your own then instead of just disappearing into the woodwork?
I agree that we have gotten several claims today, but I think one more case that's justified is ok to me.

vote soundman for submarining, bandwagonning, and feigned activity.

Edoc, it seems more like you want a BG lynch more for the sake of a BG lynch than anything else. I'll agree that the no lynch vote is a bit off base, but right now BG has a pretty solid claim and there's a more relevant case on the table. I'll wait and see what comes of the soundman wagon for now, but IGMEOY.

Shit, he claimed? Now I feel like a 'tard. I thought he had, but when I flipped back trough the day I saw the push Mr. S and I made against him and then nothing of note after that. I never get my excel charts up till N2-D3 or so and my memory for this sort of thing sucks...

Just because I'm hunting doesn't mean I'll find anything. I'm relatively new at this having only finished two games (being killed early in one and losing the other) and haven't yet developed a good sense for finding scum.

Look, I appreciate the effort, and I don't doubt your sincerity. It's just that not saying anything makes you look like you're mafia trying really hard not to say anything that gets you caught up in a lie. The best way to scumhunt is to question people on dubious posts (like I did to yours where you contradicted yourself) and see what they say. Silence is scummy as they say, be it inactivity or active submarining.

Personally, I think this warrants a claim, but if we don't get enough pressure today, rest assured that I will come back to this tomorrow. None of your posts have had much substance, they're few and far between, and you strike me as scum trying to play safe and fly under the radar.

I would like to reiterate what saf said but in the words of naxus: SILENCE IS SCUMMY!

My original vote on soundman was pressure the inactive his second to last post put the headstone by the grave as far as I'm concerned.

You said you're not the type to sit back and wait. But that's exactly what you've done. We're not expecting every post to be scumhunting gold, but commenting on current voting and cases is at least customary. So I'm calling you out on your professed desire to help look for scum, but in reality, that hasn't happened from you.

Anyhow, for the moment I am going to parrot what others have said and drop a Vote Soundman for intentional submarining. As it stands, at this point in time, to the best of my limited knowledge available, the potential benefits of pursuing a lynch on you outweigh the potential risks.

i unvoted so that my vote could not be used as a quick lynch for scum. at the time it was 4 votes and i didnt know if it was going to rise or not. im sorry for not posting my reasoning earlier, but i wanted to get it out there and then got busy. :/

A few points there.
1: As you said, there were four votes at the time, this is quite a ways off from the nine needed to reach a lynch, so it seems rather unlikely that a super speed lynch would have developed that fast.
2: Unless this game is horribly imbalanced, or the scum contains people who have no idea what they are doing, the scum will not quick lynch a person at this point it the game. They might conceivably hop on the bandwagon and move it to the point where a claim or real defense is required, but to actual hammer a player before a claim or without at least some level of consensus would be suicide for them at this point in the game. In fact, if this had actually happened, it would pretty much be a net gain for the town.
