requesting an opponent to take my territory

Let's say I have a territory with 30 armies. And adjacent to that I have another territory with 1 army. Beyond that is a player with 20 armies. I want to attack that one on my next turn, but i see that I won't be able to do as much by just throwing my alotted armies on the territory with 1 army. Is is legal/ethical to ask (publicly) another player (not the one I want to attack) to take that territory so I can get to the one I want in the next turn? Of course, it would behoove this player to let me attack the one with 20 armies as well. Does that make sense?

You can ask anything you want in game chat. You can’t ask via pm or walls. On a wall, you can link them asking them to see game chat but that’s it.
