Tied game

What are your thoughts?
I am involved in a poly-4 game with another member on the Waterloo map. Escalating cards - trench. This map is unique in that cannon and knights can both attack further than adjacent territories. We both control one half of the map and agree, due to our map coverage and escalating cards, that we are at a stalemate.
We agreed to write to admin and say we'd like the game declared a draw but admin said someone would make a mistake, or miss turns or such. We don't think that's a reasonable response and consider games should be won or lost through skill. The game has been going since 1 November 2019 and the current card cash is upwards of 30,000.
Has anyone else had involvement in a game like this or with such high card cashes and what do you guys think - should admin enable a draw if both players want or should they just stay out of it?
At this stage we've just set up another game and winner take all but it's kind of a slack solution.
Thanks guys
