Weekday only Games Question

Hello,

I have a group at work that used to play the physical board game here at work and we modeled the style of play similar to this website people took their turns when they could and games would last weeks. Well we have a new VP who brought an Ax down on that.

We are trying to create a group to play here but the problem is that we dont want to play on the weekends? Does any one know if we create a Freestyle game and all of us deadbeat on the weekends if it will kick us all after a while or if we play 5 days straight and miss 2 days if it will keep resetting?

Or Admins, is it possible to create a style of game that only runs weekdays and skips the weekends? Being able to create games like this would be really helpful for those of us with children and full of activity weekends where our only free time is at work.

Games that could pause during weekends and holidays would be a bonus but they seem against it.

Obviously it would need to be a setting so people don't just spring it on unsuspecting members but..

agreed as a setting it would be great, then like any other game you would need to review the rules before joining. I think there is a decent customer base that would enjoy not having to worry about missing a turn on the weekends.

Why do you want to make the game freestyle ? make it in 24h games and only two-three players will have to play if they play last minutes. and if they miss no one will be kicked put because you need 3 consecutive miss to be kicked out.
What you are asking for doesnt exist but could be a valid suggestion. We've got a forum for that where you can ask for it and get feedback. ( but low chances to get it and wont be quick)

The reason we were thinking free style is because it would keep everyone at the same pace. vs standard where 2 people miss out on turns. our group here is between 7 and 11 players so its a decent advantage for those who get to take their turns during the week. do you know what forum I could use to make the suggestion. (and I understand it wont be fast but would like to ask anyway)
