been thinking if its possible to try and stop the dead beating in speed games , i purpose if a member dead beats in a speeder they cant play for 24 hours.. looking in to the last 200 games its just common place to see i db..i feel this would help get message across that to dead beat is against the rules ..it would be a clear message to all i feel ..its very easy to see in finished game history but would be time consuming for mods but i feel its needed ..if after the 24 hr suspension it continues increase time that member cant play for ect ..we can see warnings really are not working and feel a more drastic approach is needed ...not all play this way but its spreading like a cancer..if this was to run for one month on site i think it would help greatly ..as i am off work for 6 weeks i could and would help by posting the dead beat games for the mods to determine if the missed 3 turns warrant the 24 hour suspension. if we join a game we should play it out ..it s easy to find these games i just dont know how easy it is to guest the offender s for the 24 hours ect ...clearly its out of hand ..

Part of the reason I don't play "speed" games. If you have to wait 10 - 15 minutes for your opponent to time out, how is it a "speed" game any longer.

your not alone ..its costing renewals as well ppl like minded see that and realize this ...speed games are a big draw to premium membership !!!

i did think and this would help curb the issue big time if they miss turns in 24 hour games is a deterrent to dead beating speed games ..rules to date just are not working ex there is a member currently warned 2 x and still to this day has a page one 0f 30 plus games were i db is written in chat .. also new members may not know its a violation to db as its so common place...lets make april stop the dead beat month ..it is a realistic approach to curb this mega problem ..or instead of this solution what do you propose??? ..take a few mins go into game finder click on baltic crusade map speed games finished....its not uncommon for 3 out of 6 to db ...whats unrealistic is allowing this to continue...

5 out of ist 10 speed games on page one .....looking into just page one there are many many more .....

Your solution to missing turns in speed games is forcing people to miss turns in casual games. I thought you didn’t want people to miss turns?

Maybe just make speed games available to those with a 100% attendance?

Well, after warning, the next step is a 1 month ban. And it happened before.
I am not sure what's the step after 1 month ban, I hope most people stop after getting the 1 month ban

So if Player X starts a Speed game, plays it with intention of playing the entire thing, suddenly has to leave due to an emergency, they get punished by having to miss turns in standard games? Or if their internet goes out? This will never pass.

For speed games only, reduce the permitted number of misses to 0.

To the victor go the spoils... and the task of keeping an eye out to make sure the deadbeater doesnt sneak back and take a turn.

I don't see it as a problem in 1v1 games. I used to do it all the time and it doesn't bother me when someone else does it. Most of the time if I have played them before I just take their word for it.

Sometimes (also if I have played them before ) I make sure I hang around.

I do think its rude just to close the window without saying anything. Or scumbag to just say something ambiguous like gg, then miss two turns and come back and take a turn. I foe people that do that.

those cases are exceptions but if u feel that strongly ok ill move on something needs to be done tho be well all

its against the rules to db ....i posted yesterday the first 10speed games on finished speed games page were 5 out of the ten games resulted in db ....

miss turns will happen lag some days causes miss turns i have read there is a glitch in game starting notification for some causing missed turns ect

if games decided just drop ...whats stupid is how bad db has become ..but some problems i guess we just cant fix ...how it got here is sad but its only going to get worse i fear ....over 50 percent of speed games have one or more db ...the members warned in the past well some continue to db most un winnable games ....one of the main draws to premium membership is speed games ..if we lose renewals what then less speeders then currently play now. some of the premium members are avoiding speed games for this reason .the way we got here is lack of enforcement of the rule i feel if members were to receive a short ban the message would be clear ..

If anything, they should remove the punishment for DB'ing because they've allowed people to resign, which is essentially the same thing. Its so common and now "accepted" practice to quit games that aren't over, so who really cares anymore?

Now, unless you are intentionally dumping points I really dont see the point in warning / punishing anyone who deadbeats speed games (or any really, since I'm sure they'll keep expanding the resign button until everyone can quit whenever they feel like it).

currently its a violation to db with a one month ban attached ..your opinion is scary as u were a mod dealing with the issue .the rules on site are simple join a game play a game . its the lack of enforcement buy mods such as yourself in the past that has gotten us to a high rate of db ..ppl do care.. in multi player speed games of 3 mins if 3 db that game it adds close to 30 mins added to that game .is that fair to the 3 who didnt db ..plus the regions the member is in and dbs are easy territories to take creating another advantage ..so to you its just not an issue clearly but as the rule still stands why should the current mods not enforce it ..

I know its currently a violation. I was mainly assisting as a MH, but my personal opinion doesn't override rules enforcement. You can separate the two. Enforce one while disagreeing. Shocking I know.
I also argued against the resign button because we continue to punish DB'ers. Im my mind, they're the same thing so if you punish one, you shouldn't implement a fast lane for people to quit games. If you do, then stop punishing others for DB. Again, personal opinion. Not saying thats the way the rules currently read. I didn't say it wasn't an issue. You have a severe reading comprehension problem mate.
