What is "Central Power Capitals Objective"?

I was playing in a game and suddenly it ended with another player winning. It said he won because he "held the Central Power Capitals objective." What just happened?????

On some map there are objectives, if you hold the objectives at the beginning of your turn, you win the game.
Objectives can be either one or several regions.

In your case you were playing the Europe 1914, there are two objectives ( it's written on the top right corner of the map).
Central powers are Berlin, Vienna, Constantinople and Sofia. If you have those 4 regions at the beginning of the turn, you win the game.
2nd objective on Europe 1914 is Entente Power : Saint Petersburg, London, Paris, Rome.
