General advice re: store and premium perks

Copying this from the General Congrats thread, since it doesn't really belong there.

So I understand there is no purpose to a "conquer credit"

If you go back to the store and click on the Redeem tab, you will see a list of things you can buy with your conquer credits. They basically fall into four categories:
  1. Premium gift certificates for yourself or others.
  2. Premium membership for short-term periods, if you want to try it out without committing to a full subscription
  3. Speed game packs, which will allow you to play speed games without being premium.
  4. Packages of Conquer Stars. These are needed to enter some tournaments, but I actually wouldn't suggest buying any -- you can usually win or find enough stars to enter stuff without needing to buy them. Only if a really good tournament is up and you're just a few stars short of what you need for it, would you ever consider buying them.
armati wrote:Is there any reason a person would be "premium"?
Pardon my ignorance, I just see no advantage.
There must be something Im not seeing.

You have to be premium in order to play more than four games at a time. The vast majority of tournaments and challenges require you to play more than four games at a time, so if you're not premium you'll cut yourself off from 99% of the experience.

Also, premium allows you four other important perks:
  1. It allows you to see the forum without ads.
  2. It allows you to invite people into your games.
  3. it allows you to play polymorphic games
  4. It allows you to play speed games. However, you can also play speed games without being premium, by buying a "Speed Game Pack" as noted above.

Thanks for any explanation.

Yeah, there is quite a bit of bad information floating about in the forums. There are even some people who deliberately give out bad information. Always take anything you hear in the forums with a good-sized grain of salt. After a while you'll figure out who is serious and who is yanking your chain. Or, just go back to basics: read the Rules and the various game help pages like this one: https://www.conquerclub.com/public.php?mode=instructions2

In the advantage of being premium, you should add polymorphic games, they are only accessible to premium players.

Saw Dukasaur here so figured this was the place to post.
(as I dont no how to send a personal message)

Just wanted to tell you about an igcon development.

Contrary to the general consensus that the igcon was too small, over 4000 game manufactures are getting involved, of special interest, on line games.
An ap is being created, it could be a "game changer" for the gaming industry.

Google has gotten involved, among other notables.

My guesstamation igcon was going to be huge may have been underestimating.

And there are no, and have never been secret forums.

Not sure where to post this, but I bought credits thinking I could try a 1-month premium, but looks like that's not possible. Can I do something? I think there is a 3 month that didn't cost much more? I can't really do anything with these credits. Thanks

Yes, you can buy a 1-month membership for 600 creds, or a 3-month membership if you have 1200.

All I saw was gift certificates for other people for 600. Maybe I'm missing something

I think it's one of those things where they just made the gift certificate redeemable on yourself instead of adding another button to exchange credits directly. Like the one year.

One of the wonders of Conquer Club.
